The movie was alright. It's basically Pocahontas in Space. I thought it had really good effects and I LOVED the world that they created, but setting alone doesn't make a great story. The movie, as a movie, was generally nothing very good or bad. It was just kind of in the middle. With a better story I'd be very happy to dive in the world of Avatar again. But, I certainly don't see it as the best thing EVAR as alot of people seem to do.

I loved it. Watched it twice in 3D and I fucking loved it.

Guess I'm easily entertained, but I was like PHOOOOAR! all the way through the movie.

Visually impressive but plotwise it's pretty bad, there were certain aspects of the plot and premise that was so far fetched you might as well put actual smurfs in the movie. I find it hard to believe that the main character would betray humanity over a period of some months without showing internal conflict or questioning whether it's the right thing to do, hell even turning on his fellow man was hard to believe in the first place. He had to abandon his family (Parents...if they're still alive), friends, home, culture and render his earlier sacrifice (his legs for a war on earth) rendundant. All to join a group of people whom speak a language our protagonist is still struggling to master.

it was a movie with a copy-pasted plot to demonstrate new technology. nothing really compelling to me as i don't feel the visuals are all a movie should offer.

It was "meh" and it beated the audiance over the head with its message instead of being subtle.
Oh it also presented a black and white dichotomy and used deus ex machina which isnt too impressive now days.

It was a "watch once only" affair. I was less impressed by the special effects than most, I thought it looked a lot like Crysis. Fun ride, though. Wouldn't pay to see it twice.
