on the whole, being a superhero would be cooler. not quite as safe as being a jedi hermit, although the danger is unimportant as, should you die, you'll be brought back before long..

Lets see here, let me get this straight:

If I pick Jedi, that means I get murdered unceremoniously by an army of clones, OOOOOOR I end up being Darth Vader... and thus have all my masculinity drained out by embarrassing prequels.

If I pick Superhero, I can cause people to burst into flames by looking at them hard enough, I get to beat up an entourage of poorly dressed motherfuckers by virtue of being the good guy, and I get to hang around unrealistically hot super-heroines all the time. Plus, if I die, all I have to do is wait for the writers to contrive a way to bring me back to life, and "poof", I'm back with no forseeable consequences.

Hmm... tough choice.

I'd be a superhero. I'd look like an idiot but no one would know it was me. And I wouldn't be screwed every couple of years by silly old man Georgie.

OOOOOkay, hold onto your asses, assholders cuz this is gonna be a long one.

Not all Jedi are equal, the force is stronger with some then it is with others. Prime examples, Anakin Skywalker, Master Yoda, Mace Windu. The reason they're on the council giving out the Homework assignments (bar Anakin) is becuase they are the most skilled and adept in the ways of the force.

However, any Jedi can fall to the dark side if the temptation is great enough (Apart from Yoda, I'll eat my lightsaber blade before I see a Dark Yoda).

Also some people are banding around the tennents of the Old Jedi Order;
A Jedi shall know not fear, nor pain, nor love (or whatever, you get the gist).
A Jedi order wiped out by order 66. By the end of 'Jedi, luke is the only one, and what's he do? Goes off and founds the NEW Jedi order. Then what does he do? Goes and gets himself a wife! Mara-Jade Skywalker! and a KID! Ben Skywalker!

So, if you want to be a Jedi, you may not have as many cool superpowers as <insert tired generic DC/Marvel Superhero here> but you'll probably have some degree of pre-cognition, speed and agility, not to mention a freaking LIGHTSABER, influence over the weak minded, the opportunity to fall to the dark side, a cool Astromech droid to follow you around and make beep-boop noises.

Now...a Jedi in the Warmachine Armor....Kiss my ass, Emperor Palpatine, I'm coming to get you!

I'm gonna say super-hero, or rather in my case super-villian, I'd be Magneto. I'd have all his powers :-

Okay your lightsabre is great, but it's handle is metal, I'm taking that, then I'm going to incase you in mercury and slowly compress your liquid tomb to the size of a small ball bearing, then unleash the liquidized contents and fly away to my asteroid. That sounds pretty epic wouldn't you agree?

*Uses the Force to wrench your silly hat off*
You don't want to incase me in Mercury, You want to take my lightsaber, and use it to cut off your arm. Now your other arm. Good, good. Now Both your Legs. Now decapitate yourself.
*waves hand*

I do believe taht your Jedi mind tricks only work on the weak willed, and seeing as I can resist Charles Xavier's telepathy due to sheer force of will (even without my helmet) your trick would fail. However as you've removed my hat without asking I think I won't simply crush you in a mercury casing, I'll tear the iron in your blood from your pores and use it to lobotomize you.

Then fly away to my asteroid.

I'm more of one of those fallen who uses dark side powers and light side powers for his own gain, but really doesn't join up with either side.

Superhero is more of a profession (i.e. fire-fighter), while being a Jedi is equivalent to being a missionary. Regardless of which one you think does more good for their community, Jedi don't get to punch-out and go to the strip club after their big climactic battle for the week.

Superhero, the diversity of powers is significantly greater and many of them can fly. Where do I sign up and how can I get superstrengt and abilities. Would be fun to have flight, strength and some kind of ice power.
