I am assuming people would watch something because they enjoy watching it. Everyone has different tastes, well either that or they want to laugh at the characters or something. All I really know about "Jersey shore" is the "It's a Jersey thing" episode of "South Park", and the "key of awesome" parody. It could be because it seems to get a lot of advertising and people are curious as to what's so bad about it.
Why does anyone watch MTV in general? NONE of their shows are really any good and what happened to it being called MUSIC Television?

People watch this show because they find it entertaining. They like the drama, and "scandals" (I guess). But, uh, cool. Let''s hate on something else that's popular. Right?

They become far less funny when you actually need to live in an area with them. I was under the impression that the above question would be at least partially answered. I know you don't have to watch it but Why Does It Exist? What went wrong? I get seriously ill if I try to watch it and I don't think I'm that different. What gives? At least let me go to hell before encountering such atrocities.
