One of my daily television rituals is going to one of the only news sources I can truly trust will give me some facts, and entertain me, and that is to watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and The Colbert Report. If you're on this thread, you probably are familiar with both of the shows' hosts, and how different they can be.

So, I ask my fellow Escapees! Whom do you prefer? Jon, or Stephen? And why?

I myself am more partial to Jon Stewart. I find him more casual and his news to be a bit more actually informational than Stephen's. Plus, Colbert sort of just irritates me, and even if he's playing a character, the job of a character, especially a host, is to make them likable. You can tell he's trying way too hard to be likable, however, I think.

Jon Stewart forever!

Jon Stewart's funny, but I laugh at Colbert more.

Don't know why, but I just think he's a bit funnier, though Stewart's field reporters make that show.

I haven't watched John Stewart, and the one snippet of Colbert that I saw on TV was him bragging about his "Epic Balls".

So... Meh.

Like Jon Stewart a bit more. Think it's because he tries to interview someone with extually THAT intention. Stephen interrupts people too much for his own little jokes. That's my opinion.

Damn this is a tuff one... They're both good. They both need to stop going on vacation when stuff happens.

Colbert has his moments, especially when filing a field report, but overall, Stewart's bits are more interesting. So the latter.

But why are you referring to them as a news source that you can trust? Both are comedy shows, nothing more, nothing less, they themselves would be the last to claim that they're informative in any way.

Jon Stewart's comedy is more intelligent and his show is more informative, but I think Stephen Colbert is more funny. I'd have to say they're pretty much equal, I really can't choose.

Because they make fun of both the left AND right wings. I find 'serious' news shows to be too biased or too much up their own ass. Jon and Stephen do this in the name of fun, and I rather have it that way.

I've never actually seen either show, but if I were to watch one based on what I know, it would be Colbert simply because he voiced Phil Ken Sebben in the epic Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law.

Ha Ha Haaaa... Take it Easy ;)
