I think that Steward is better. I just like his humour..it feels more natural, where as with Colbert you know hes going to make you laugh some how. I love em both' but I prefer Stewart.

Colbert because of this quote:

?If you succeed, in the future you may get a job with a corner office.

If you fail, in the future you may be giving a job, on a corner with an orifice.?

I used to love The Daily Show, but after a few years Stewart's personality and viewpoints have worn thin on me. The way he grandstands isn't really much more levelheaded than the people he rails against. He just comes off as a an angry lunatic half the time. Colbert, on the other hand, elevates it to performance art. Remember that episode where Stewart was trying to parody Glenn Beck? He was terrible and unfunny. Colbert does the same thing every day and makes it hilarious.

I think they're both pretty hilarious, but this little snippet from a few years ago elevates Jon Stewart in my opinion.
I really felt for Jon when I saw this. He is really sincere in his opinion (and right!) but they mistake him for a clown instead of someone who really has something to say and even has more depht than those two guys. Don't know if he would ever be in another place than the daily show though.

I vote option C on the fake news. ENN...I cannot watch Jon Stewert or Colbert, I've tried and it makes me hate television more...

Also, I thought the escapist community hated Vs. threads

Stephen is funnier, but I like Jon more, just because he gets more to the point in interviews and stuff like that, and it's more fun to see his view on things.

John stewart and steven colbert are two different styles of humor. John stewart is kinda like the onion in that he makes fun of events. Except the events are real and he makes fun of real people who did and said things that were dumb and stupid. It can get really tense as people march down there to give him the whatfor and it turns into less of a comedy and into a real debate that extends further than the shows timeslot.

The colbert report by it's orignal functions is a parody of The O-reily show. You'll see paralells. colbert's act is to be the crazy arrogant pundits that litter television. But he does it so well that it comes off as hilarious and funny so much so that playing along with him actually works to ones benefit hence the colbert bump. The only thing is that there's never a break from acting even with serious people that show up to defend there case. That might be annoying.

Still though. As far as I am concered they are of equal greatness if only for that epic fight they had with Conan O' brian during the writers strike.

I like the Daily Show more than I like Colbert Report, but they both are pretty good in my book.

Craig Kilborn!

Oh wait, the show actually got better when Jon Stewart became the host. I like Colbert a lot, but I like Stewart just a little better. Just makes me wish they'd do a Comedy Central Roast of Jon Stewart already. With Steven Colbert as the Roastmaster of course.

Stewbeef gets my vote. Colbert as a writer or performer is excellent but his character on the Report is just too smarmy and obvious for me. Still, I applaud him for keeping up the good fight.

I personally prefer Stephen Colbert, simply because he has a talent for the obscure.

Jon.

Don't get me wrong, I watch both religiously, but I enjoy how Jon makes real news funny more than I enjoy watching a funny man read the news. If that makes any sense to anyone but me.
