For actual news, John Stewart. For wacky American awesomeness, Stephen Colbert. I find both of them a much better news outlet than most news networks, though.

Stewart, because his show contains more newsiness, while Colbert is more wacky/zany. Don't get me wrong, Colbert is one of the most entertaining people on TV, but I think Stewart has more substance, which is why I prefer watching him.

While I think Colbert is a genius, I prefer Stewart and the Daily Show. I find it funnier.

Both really. Colbert is a hilarious character but Stewart is a better satirist I think. They're both equally good.

I'm white enough to also have the opinion that two parody shows on a comedy channel are far more valid than actual news sources.

Of the two, I go with Colbert. After watching that White House Press Corp dinner, it cannot be denied that he has the largest balls any human can have without having elephantiasis.

While Jon Stewart is more consistently funny, and has a straightforward take on the news, when Colbert is on, he is fucking on. Like last Thursday (the 23rd), which was probably the funniest half-hour of comedy I've seen in a while. Also Colbert's style allows for a lot of interesting situations, like that psycho birther Orly Taits (yeah, her name is really Orly) who went on his show last night actually thinking Colbert agreed with her, and subsequently made an ass out of herself without even realizing it. Then again, Jon did get that Republican to admit that the US government runs the best health care system in the world (VA). And then there was that guy from Mad Money, who he nearly reduced to tears.

But overall, I'd say it's a push.

I want all of column A and all of column B.

As has been previously stated, Colbert is an actor, putting on a show every day, the end result of which being hilarious, all the time, every time.

Stewart is like a real newscaster, only ripping everything he reports on to shreds, the end result of which being hilarious, all the time, every time.

However, if I had to choose, I'd go with Jon. He can make anything funny, he can make serious points intelligently, and if he has a guest on who he disagrees with he can verbally kick his or her ass (in a respectful manner, too!)

I love them both. I really can't decide who I like more so I vote both.
And why do I feel like Im getting better news and coverage on joke news stations than I am on real news stations?

Because you are. FOX has a heavy conservative slant, MSNBC has a heavy liberal slant, and CNN talks about the most irrelevant things.

Both. Can't have either without missing the other. We watch them every night at 8 pm. It really cheers us up.

They are the guys who do Comedy Central's half-hour long news segments, the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and the Colbert Report. The Daily Show rips on the news media, and the Colbert Report is a half-hour of some of the best satire on TV. It's on Comedy Central on Monday through Thursday from 8 to 9, and 11 to 12. If you even have the slightest interest in politics, or news you'll get a kick out of them.
