Perhaps. If the review is any indicator, I think I'll definitely see this.

Nicolas Cage's character looks like a cheesy Batman ripoff and sounds like a cheesy Bioshock ripoff.

But it's obviously going to be better than that other budgethero movie coming out soon. The one where his most competant move is throwing down a jar of bees.
One of the cops, I think in the red band trailer, talks about him looking like Batman. Everything in this movie is intentionally cheesy and generic, because it sounds funnier that way.
I'm pretty sure he based the character on Adam West Batman which will be awesome.

I actually can't wait to see this film. I first heard about it while watching 28 Days Later with my sister, and forgot about her and the film (Being 28 Days Later) because I was talking to my Godfather about it.

It looks pretty good... even though the name is a bit awkward to say when you're buying the tickets. Not for everyone, maybe, but certain gentlemen like myself would find this quite embarrassing.

It truly looks like Watchmen before Comic Books (or Graphic Novels, if you prefer) got too serious. Not every movie has to go the Batman route (I.e. Super Serious), and this looks like it might bring back the "The Mask" sort of feeling comic book movies used to have.

However, last time I checked, I am a boy, and for a brief time, I did read comic books, so I must see this movie, not because I am a movie fan, but because the 13 year old in me wills it.

Kick-Ass Better Be Kick-Ass-Tastic.

The comic was awesome, but the costume designs for the movie look really stupid.

I'll wait until it comes out on video though.
Video? What be this mystical object?

OT: I'll probably see it as it looks pretty darn funny. Plus I need to find a movie to take a date to anyway so if it turns out to be lord of the shits then I still win.

I watched the trailer and was honestly dumbstruck by how stupid the whole thing seemed, especially considering it's supposed to be more 'realistic' than most superhero franchises.

Written by Jane Goldman (Wife of Johnathan Ross, who also wrote Stardust (The film, book was by Neil Gaiman))(And who is also gorgeous)

I'm stoked! :)

(Reminds me of that underrated classic Mysterymen)

Now Wiki's back up - "The film has received overwhelmingly positive early reviews and currently holds a 100% 'Fresh' rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 12 reviews"
