It's like a say: "I don't care if you're under twelve, but please, stay off the mic."

In the coincedince that someone's on a mic, I usually tell them that their voice is too young to be on a mic (thank god most of the servers I'm on is a 16+ on mic!).

I hate kids with mics who dont shut the fuck up when the entire server tells them too. If yer angry, write it in text ffs. Stop screaming and raging over the mic, its annoying and makes my ears bleed.

I'm not even going to go into the ESRB rating. If a parent can't even be bothered to watch their children, there isn't a chance in hell they'll look at the rating.
Not necessarily true. I was mostly alone when I was around 8 because my sister ran away so I didn't have anyone else to look after me as we couldn't afford a baby sitter. So I was alone from 6 in the morning till 8 at night, but that doesn't mean I was allowed to play 18's. in fact, I'm 15 now and have only just been allowed to play certain 18 games, and not watch all 18 movies, it's annoying but fair.

As long as they aren't talking constantly I don't mind them. Even if they do talk constantly they just have the piss taken out of them.

This thread would be equivalent to saying "don't you hate how stupid Southerners are?" or "don't you hate how ignorant and fat people from the us are?" you are just stereotyping. Most of the kids that act fine are basically (in my personal experience)are shamed and yelled at when they first say anything. Ex: when I was 12 and I just got tf2 I bought a mic so I could talk to the people on the server and the first thing I said was "heya everyone how's it going" to which I immediately got the response "Shut the fuck up kid". Every server I tried was all the same until I stopped using my mic.

I don't hate them, I enjoy their contribution to the game. Especially on the PS3 where 12 year old kids on mics are a rarity, the banter created by them is enjoyable.

Usually I mute them. Not a big deal. Although I keep ingame voice chat completely disabled half the time. Plus, I rarely play online games with anyone but friends.

EDIT: I myself have a pretty shit sounding voice so I usually avoid talking on the microphone
My thoughts exactly, however. I just don't like my accent.

I am often mistaken as a child, though I could be some of these peoples mother. It's my gender, sadly. Once people assume I'm a little kid, it's often impossible to get them to think otherwise. I don't hate kids on a mic. I dislike that I am mistaken for one. :p

I recently played Counter Strike where one of the admins on the server was hacking and a 12 year old kid who wouldn't shut the hell up. That got on my tits.

OT: Generally, I don't mind kids playing games as long as they know what they are doing! (And keep quiet most of the time)
