I am nerdy. Severely nerdy. But LARPing is something I'll never partake in. Not putting it (or any LARPer here) down. It's just not my cup of tea.

I would consider it to be sad-nerdy. Playing pretend when your 9 is fine [definitely healthier than playing video games], but the idea of grown men [most likely with ponytails, from my limited experience] participating in such activities is creepy and saddening.

I think it's awesome since it sort of like cosplay but you take part in the action as oppose to looking like the character accurately.

Okay, I really wish there was a depends option for this, so I went with Meh. Larping is something that I would never do on a routine. If somebody tries it out a few times for fun, then thats awesome. If you start doing it as a routine, it gets a little bit sad if you ask me. I'm all up for foam medieval ass-kicking once or twice. (Though I have yet to try it unfortunately) Role Models really makes me wanna try it out!

Eh... I'm incredibly nerdy, but something about LARPing feels too far gone even for me. I don't know why that is, and if given an opportunity I would maybe try it. You know, I think that what puts me off might be the fact that it is called LARPing... just saying that makes me feel nerdy.

LARP is a lot of fun. If you take it as a combat sport, the nerdiness gets a kick in the shin. Try it, fellas. It's really worth it at least once.

I've tried battle reinactment twice, which is kinda similar I guess. I think it is kinda similar, except in this they used metal weapons which were blunted.

It can be fun, but only if you don't take it too seriously. They were running fitness tests and things. Yuck. Needless to say I dropped out. My policy is only to do beep tests as part of a sport

Ain't sad. Ain't awesome.

It's just nerdy.

If you love it, go for it, just don't expect widespread acceptance because you'll never get it.
