I´m a follower and I expect my leaders to lead, but they rarely do so, and when they do, they do it poorly. So, I get out of the way. Too much hassle all around.

I have tried to lead myself, but so far the results have left a lot to be desired.

Depends what I'm leading, following, or getting out of the way of. Some things are much riskier than others.

It all depends on what needs to be done. I own a buisness, yet I sit in my office half the time playing around online, I let my employees do all the work. I work on side projects and occasionally answer questions for them. Mostly cause I busted my ass getting this to the point where it sorta runs it self, with brief spikes of everything going to shit and me busing ass again to pick up the pieces - like when my biggest customer dropped, and decided to sue me for something that was his fault.

Anyway back on topic: Anytime it looks like things are headed for a derail I can jump back up and take charge, get things back in order, but only then. Why would I want the stress of that unless it is needed?

I like to lead. Unfortunately I'm not really allowed to do that anymore. apparently I'm a little too rough around the edges to be in the spotlight.

I always take the "get the job done, fuck everything else" route. No complaining and no slacking but, I'm a pretty nice guy if you work hard.

I'll do all three, depending on the situation. If I think I should lead, I'll lead. If I think I should follow, I'll follow etc.

I don't lead...

... I don't follow...

... I most certainly don't get out of the way...

--Xvito, keeping it excellent.

I can take over and be a leader if I need to, but only in situations I feel comfortable with. Like in airsoft or paint ball. Also organizing things is an area in which some of my friends excel themselves at being useless, so I often have to take over and sort shit out...

It really depends on the day for me. Sometimes I follow people into excitement and adventure; most of the time I'm on my ass, in bed, or on the computer. I'm an out-of-the-wayist.

I want to lead, but not have the responsibility. Some person said this to me when I joined his brotherhood:

"Don't join us for some feel of self centered, respect hungry ambition. Join us not for the prestige or honor. Join us because you feel strongly about *this topic*."

I joined them for the prestige.

Anyway. I voted lead.
Give us a damn middle option, geez

Geez, why don't you just ask for the sun to rise in the North while you're at it?

I like to lead.
It makes my ego feel warm and happy.
...why do you think the Sun rises where it does and not in the North?

That's right, because I told it to. Even celestial bodies follow my wishes.

I'm the one who just gets out of the way. I'll follow if I have to and I want to lead but I don't have courage or brains to do so.

I am a firm believer in leading by following. In other words doing everything I do to the best of my ability and so I stand out, leading others by example. Which is how it should be.

That said, I find myself in leadership positions a lot.
