Wrex is no HK-47.

Wrex is a warrior by nature but good at heart. If you talk with him a lot, you will find that he resents the rest of the Krogans for being stupid and inconsiderate in favor of being warriors. And he is angry at himself for this. He is also extremely smart.

Agreed, but he is witty and hilarious like HK-47.

I think I liked them all but the one I used the lease would probley been Kadien. I based that decsion on combat and there ablities and I level used him much.

I didn't pay too much attention to their effectiveness - characterization is what matters.

Liara: a socially awkward scientist.
Garrus: a classic Cowboy Cop... IN SPAAAACE!
Tali: a mechanic wandering around the galaxy.
Wrex: must i elaborate?
Ashley: a no-nonsense, shoot-first female soldier. And a Nazi (yay, Godwin's law!). It's still something intresting.

But Kaiden... he's just bland. Boring. Didn't have a chance. It's the same thing as with Rochelle in L4D2 - not quirky enough.
