Poll: Left 4 Dead 2 - The Passing First Impressions

My jaw kinda dropped when I found those supply caches, and meeting the old survivors was pleasing.

No zombie is safe when I have my supply crate full of pipebombs.

I love the shooting, the relentless attacks and the setting but I really wanted a better story mode.

It was good. Not exactly what I was expecting but still satisfactory.

I really enjoyed The Passing. The level design was great, the interaction between the teams and dialogue was entertaining, and the new weapons are fun. I really liked the addition of the footlockers, it was self-referential without being over the top. All the people who ever wished for a whole trunk of pills finally got their wish answered, but it doesn't break the game by any means.

I'm also really looking forward to future Mutations, the mode has the potential to be absolutely amazing, and keep people playing regularly, which I'm all for.

Levels seemed lacking (consists of hard rain rain, a sewer, dead centre final, etc)
I did not see an occasion where a path was blocked by the director. Only the footlockers were randomly placed.
l4d1 survivor interaction seems limited, good conversations only and i feel they are there just because valve wanted them to be there.
They could have randomised who died each time, i would be happy with that.

I'm really sad that they actually had Bill's corpse there.

yep, but that M-16 he has does double damage. I lead the way to victory with my three retarded companions with the weapon of a fallen hero. I even took down a couple tanks with it.

OT: I liked it. it was fun, took about an hour, had plenty of variety, and the M-60 is the best weapon ever. you just point it at whatever you want destroyed and hold down the trigger. you will not be displeased.

Bill's gun isn't always an M-16. Sometimes it's an auto shotgun from L4D1 or a Combat burst rifle.

excuse me, where do u have the information about bill's m16 doing double damage?
because i used it quite alot during it, and felt it was poo, i was lucky to notice the table with the ak47's and stuff, the before mentioned m16 couldn't even kill a zombie with 1 hit in the stomic..

Two: As I explained later, when I picked it up I could kill a zombie with one hit to the torso, and it only took about three clips to take down a tank. But those could have been luck on both accounts.

Elitist at spelling? I call that pathetic, English is not my main language, but I do my best, and as long as everyone understands what it is I write, I see no problem..

And I was merely asking if you had any specific website or something, whereas you got the information about it doing double damage, seeing as you write "I could kill a zombie with one hit to the torso", whereas I was not able to do that at all..

I liked the Passing, still haven't completed it yet because I was playing with a group of people who won't know the word 'teamwork' if it was a zombie rush. My friend and I went together as a two and then this other guy followed us instead of covering the fourth guy.

It was frustrasting to say the least. Loved the sewer bit: tunnel + golf club + zombies running towards me = so many dead zombies.

I had a bit of a nerdgasm while playing it. Awesome having some interaction between the old and new survivors and I hope Valve do more of this in the not too distant future.

It might not be your main language, but Google has a nice new feature... it's called Google Translate. And Microsoft Word has a new feature, too, called spellcheck. Use them. If you don't like it, leave, but we try to all keep good grammar and spelling.

OT: I sold my Left 4 Dead 2. I'll probably play it when I eventually buy it for PC.

Like I said, it could have been dumb luck. The zombie could have already been damaged somehow, and the tanks could have been damaged as well, so it just seamed to do that much damage. also there was only one, not like most other guns where there's four in a stack.
