To me, everything that is good in L4D in balanced by something that makes it difficult to continue playing (hordes of zombies vs. awkward special placment, multiple campaigns vs. repetitiveness, good co-op play vs. an overemphasis on teamplay) so I would say it's ok and a good game but it is far from being the best game ever made (although I would say it's the best game Valve have ever made).

Half-Life 2 called. He wants his trophy back.

ive only recently got the game and to be honest im loving it. ALOT.
i thought games like oblivion and portal were the best games out there but left 4 dead has changed my mind on that. so im woundering if any of you think the same as me in saying that its one if not possibly the best game out there

How long have you been gaming? Not trying to mock, just curious.

Anyway, as a L4D owner and semi-regular player its my opinion that its a great game.. but ovverated as hell.

I love every valve game except for this repetitive short rubbish with no ADS and outdated gun mechanics. Did I mention it also doesn't look that great? And that I do not want to play with random internetters because they are very bad at it?

I've not played it and have only moderate interest in doing so. But there is definitely no "best game ever."

"Personal favorite game" is a better phrase, but this isn't really worthy of discussion to be serious. What would be an interesting topic is "Thoughts on Left 4 Dead" accompanied by a mini-review in the OP.

In my opinion, no game that doesn't have an actual single player mode can even be considered for BEST GAME EVARRR.

This is petty much true.... Even though I just "finished" it...
Imo, the "Best Games Evarr" title shouldn't go to a game that stops because there is nothing left to do. Oh sure I could bound around the wastes for a couple more hours and find ALL the locations, but I've got all the special items I can get. What's the point!? ;A;

Onto the main point: L4D was a good idea, Valve got a hold of it and made it awesome. But, tbh, its not that great. The team aspect is so hard to deal with when you have morons who just twaddle around the same area for 15 mins.
