When playing Left 4 Dead, which weapon do you choose when you start the game? I choose the Uzi because it is a faster reloading gun and has a less chance of team killing my teammates. It also has great accuracy when I'm fighting those massive hordes. It is also REALLY great for killing special infected such as the smoker when it grabs another survivor and it gives me a chance to get that hunter that is sitting in that corner before it gets me! Which would you choose, and why?

shotgun. way better against hordes. great for up close vs specials. if the specials are at range i pistol snipe them.
depends on the situation and game mode though.
i usually play versus. so shotgun. but if the other 3 survivors take shotgun ill take uzi.
for campaign if 2 survivors take shotgun ill usually take uzi.

oh and shotgun is far far better vs tank and witch.

When I first started playing L4D, I almost always went with the Uzi. Now though, I seem to be using the shotgun a lot more. So I just picked the "whichever I feel like at the moment" option.

While it does get out of ammo rather quickly I prefer the Uzi to the regular shotgun. But compared to the autoshotgun... Pistol just does too little damage to be considered a real weapon, anyways. It's just something they had to add, it seems, because it's hard to kill a horde with a knife while lying on the ground and dying. :]

I like the uzi for the ammo guzzling spray and pray option, but I have found glee in the occasional medium distance one round head shot, it's a skill I tell ya....I wonder if I can put that on my C.V.

There is "better" and there is more efficient, uzi has longer range and thus you can take a more defensive stance with some long distance kiting, and empty an entire clip into the tanks back while it stomps on a incaped ally has only slighty less than the few shots of a shotgun.

If you ask me Shotgun is more ammo efficiency,it does its job and it does it well but the Uzi on the other hand lacks efficiency is has a "Kick Ass" mode,as in you can totally forget about how much ammo it takes to get some major damage to a tank or take alot out of the swarms numbers.

Disagree?(this is toward everyone) totally understandable, lets discuss in a polite manner.

I get the Uzi then move on to the Assault Rifle when it becomes available. I pretty much never use the Shotgun, reloading each bullet is too slow for my tastes.

I do, however, use the Shotgun more frequently then the Hunting Rifle, which I despise... Well, despise on 360, at least. It's a little more user friendly on the PC with a mouse, I suppose.

Uzi sucks really, really bad. You have pistols for long range, stick with those!

The shotgun is the traditional anti-zombie weapon of choice (followed closely by the chainsaw, baseball bat and harpoon).

Did Ash from Evil Dead use an Uzi? Did Shaun from Shaun of the Dead use an Uzi? Did Cortez from Timesplitters use an Uzi (in the zombie levels)?

For those of you who aren't keeping up, no, they didn't.
