I think Portal is a bit overrated. It's really disorienting at times, the first-person view feels arbitrary and makes puzzles more difficult than they should be, and the strange oblong shape of the portals themselves makes landing in one really fiddly sometimes. You can easily get a tiny piece of your body caught on the smallest pixel outside of a portal, and then you have to try the puzzle all over again.
Not a bad game at all, and it's funny, but not the best game ever.
Oh, and I will not mention or reference Portal 2, because I've gotten so sick of people bringing up bits from the original.

The reason why Twilight is one of the most hated things in the world outside of it's fandom is because of the hype. The books are alright, maybe bad and stupid. So are the movies. Kinda of like Eragon and it's movie. The only difference between obscurity and complete hatred is the hype. If Twilight was just normal movies and books they'd be forgotten so fast. But if we take Portal 2 up to Twilight hype and annoyance levels then we'll be the ones getting hated
Portal was a great game, but all the new crap their throwing in sounds kinda gimmicky to me. plus, i dont think anything will ever surpass perfection (Heroes of Might and Magic 3).
if Baldurs Gate 2 is so awesome, why cant it run on Vista, for gods sake? i bought it from a pile of old games yesterday, but everytime i light it up, it crashes (even when opening it with windows 98, 2k and XP).Jaranja said:

Great as portal is, discussing it at every possible opportunity is just a sure fire way to alienated everyone and make you look like a dick. References aren't particularly clever when repeated for the sake of it.
