I'm somewhere right in between "Meh, I don't really care" and "They should all be rounded up and destroted!"
I think Windows is better, and people who think they are superior because they use Macs annoy me, but I don't mind Macs all that much. Although they technically ARE PCs, no matter how much they don't admit it.

I had a Macbook issued to me in English class back in high School. Words cannot express how much I learned to hate them but I'll try. I refused to call them laptops, I called them doorstops instead. I wanted to throw my doorstop against the concrete wall it pissed me off so much. SO MUCH LAG! It was a nightmare.
Sadly my school bought these damn things for every student. They don't even have enough books for everyone but they'll give them macbooks. Its just so stupid it makes me want to scream. So glad I graduated before they got them for everyone.

Macs are pretty good, they try to make them to easy to use though if you know what I mean. I think Windows is better. (iMovie '08 suck by the way)

I find macs insulting - they insult my intelligence and take away features. And I find smug mac fanatics doubly insulting. :p

I don't honestly have a problem with the MAC platform per se. It's "MAC people" that drive me nuts and make me want to destroy the company through a ridiculously circuitous plot involving corportate espionage, blackmail, robots, and kidnapping.

Also, by "MAC people" I dont mean everyone who owns a MAC. I mean the "MAC guy" who constantly tells me how inferior Windows is even though it meets my computing needs perfectly. The guy who wont shut up about how I need to "upgrade" to a MAC even though he has no idea what I use my PC for and whether or not a MAC and it's unique offerings would be a good fit for me. "MAC guy" who's list of problems with Windows include issues that haven't been a problem since WIN98.

All that aside, for those people who need what MAC offers then it's a perfectly viable choice and I hope they enjoy their purchase. And leave me to do the same.

They're good for everything except gaming, and bootcamping will sort that out for you. While I agree that there could be a lot more software written for them to make them a bit more functional, I haven't found anything that I could do on my old Dell that I haven't been able to do on my Mac. Most of the time it does it better as well.

My opinion hasn't changed for the past 30 or so Mac threads. Overpriced.

Mr. Mac needs to crawl in a hole, cut his wrists, and then blow himself out of existance with 300 kilos of C4.

I never found myself amazed by a Mac. I just think they are different PC's. But I do find Mac users slightly snobby, and thinking they are better than PC's.

I'm a Mac person now, but I need to be to do what I do. (The filmmaking industry is kind of monopolized by Macs.) They're awesome for really specific things, but lacking in a broader sense.

Of course, bootcamp kind of rendered that debate pointless.

I'll be getting a state-o-the-art Macbook Pro in a couple months. Gonna be sweet! (Especially since I'm currently working on a desktop PC I got in 2001-ish.)

I don't really have anything against Mac's except for their commercials.

I hate when any company advertises its product by putting down its competition.

They're good! They're particularly good for Graphics Design. I'm tempted to buy a MacBook just for that. Plus, they look damned sexy compared to the big black or silver box laptops.

i personally love macs. i've been on them since middle school and do a lot of video/music editing on them. if i was a big pc gamer, obviously i'd prefer pcs, but i love my 360 too much, so macs are perfect for what i need. i don't have anything against pcs tho

EDIT: i recently bought my second mac, a 17 inch macbook pro, and i think it's incredible, i have to be pulled away sometimes.

Macs - Mildly annoying

Most people who use macs - Make me start eating my own face in order to stop myself from going into a mad cannibalistic rage.
