Grew up with them, and man they so sucked at gaming.
Been long years and was time to get a new system, so I compared prices. Sure, building your own rig from scratch can save money. But between Mac and a comparable Dell (needed for work, too) there wasn't much difference anymore since Intel was implemented.
So I just recently got me a MacPro and, with BootCamp, it's been a grand gaming experience. Though the standard graphics option lacked and sound wasn't too great until I upgraded for a Soundblaster PCI-e. Still, I love and hug my Mac. Running Vista when gaming but having the option to boot up MacOS for anything else.
PC seems a bit like LEGO for adults, it feels great when you get everything working as intended. But where you have to fight your PC every step of the way my Mac rather seems to work with me. Which ain't as challenging, but sure feels great.
