I'm a purist.

Mages shouldn't swing swords and warriors shouldn't cast spells.

Period.

I prefer to play games as uberenchanter wizards, and appreciate any game which allows me to do so.

I'm pretty much always the Mage/Wizard style character when I'm just controlling a single character. Sometimes for a change of pace I might try something else, but for the most part it's Magic, Magic, and more Magic for me. Heck, sometimes even when I'm trying a Melee-oriented character it's usually something like a Paladin where he still casts a fair number of spells.

I'm a rogue or thief or however you want to phrase it. I like the ability to sneak up and do bunch of hits before the people even know what happened.

I played a warrior and a thief/bow man in Oblivion.

Warrior was pretty much: "Now you see me! Now you're flying at an alarming rate".

Thief was : "I hope they don't see me....SHIT".

Sword for the win! So yeah Warrior, simplest job ever, run in and the twack things to death. Though Archer is pretty fun a lot of the time.

Mage, mostly because of the versatility and partly because they kick the most ass in every fantasy battle and I mean every last damn one. Any atempt at proving this wrong will result in you being frozen solid, set on fire, and having all of your blood telekinetically ripped from your veins.

preist/monk: hand to hand combat with the occasionally bludgeoning weapon and a variety of spells.

Healer, of course. On oblivion, I its kinda fun playing a mage when you turn the difficulty way down, at least.

I like playing a mix of mage/warrior, because I'm highly indecisive and like the option for both open at all times.

Witch Hunter type character fits me best (Oblivions witch hunter)

Its like a cross between a destruction wizard/Stealthy archer.

My arrows for the stealth, and my badass fireballs for when the shit inexpicably hits the fan.

I have a question:

Does the lvl 500 Ancient Silver Bow +10 with Fire Damage do anything more than 1 damage each hit?

Whenever I try archer I have to turn my enemies into a freaking pincushion before they die. Most pointless weapons ever.

Archer. Not hunter or rogue types, just plain archer. Heavy DPS without getting in the fray is nice.

I'm a battle-mage. I will mess... you... up.

However, not allowed that choice I go with the mage.

I always go as a warrior (with some healing abilities if I can get them) because it's reliable. If you run out of mana/arrows as a mage/archer, you're fucked.
