American medical research cares more about making money from ensuring a person can live with the disease comfortably than from actually curing it. Hence, no word about a cure when more money can still be made off the medicine prescribed to dull the effects.

You have no idea how true that is, a certain type of nut I think, may have been a vegetable, but anyway - the nut is found to drastically reduce the likelihood of having cancer but Americans have outlawed it's growth.

Right, well this man had AIDS, but has it no longer, HE has been cured. So it's a step in the right direction, maybe in 20 years there'll be something, an injection of Delta 32 that can be put into a fetus, or into a living person to make AIDS a thing of the past. One positive result is not a cure, even if expenses were not a problem. Plus, I see this as more of a side effect. Let's say you have chronic hepatitis C and hepatic non metastatic cancer and you get a liver transplant... wow, I just cured hep C on a gaming forum. Oh wait, maybe I cured hepatic cancer. Actually, there is a possible cure or at least preventative method that's very simple: Make your system alkaline by eating alkaline foods (vegetables, grains, etc.) and liquids (some brands of bottled water advertise their alkalinity for this reason).

I'm actually surprised that this isn't already well-known considering I figured it out myself with my basic grasp of college Biology.

Sorry if I took this a bit too seriously, but it annoys me when cures are available for major problems and these cures are completely ignored.
