I do believe that situation is made possible only through "vidyagame logic."
The same logic dictates that not blowing up the station and geting tech to help destroy the Reapers and save the galaxy in ME 3 gives you renagade points.
That one actually makes some sense. If you talk to your squad after saving the station, there is this unspoken air that you betrayed all of them. Plus, as has been said earlier, I don't trust Cerberus farther than I can toss Grunt.

I blew it up because I don't want the Reapers somehow gaining control of it. Also, the Illusive Man may not be able to use it how he thinks he can. He also could get indoctrinated by the Reapers, you never know.

I chose the bottom one out of hilarity, but in all reality I didn't destroy it for any of those reasons.

I felt like the only way any of that technology could be useful is to replicate it, which in and of itself would be evil. I got paragon for doing it so I assumed it was the right choice...here's hoping.

Can anyone really say "No" to Martin Sheen?
It literally took me a few minuets while I thought it out, but I caved in to his magical voice and glowing blue electronic eyes...

I'm going to destroy it this time through though (my set up for ME 3), the people fear Humanity enough in my universe...

I'm a member of the X-Com school of Alien/Human relations, that is kill everything that looks at me funny, loot everything that isn't bolted down, bring bolt cutters for stuff that is, and nuke what's left. Only when the Aliens know not to fuck with us can humanity live in peace with them (and well the nice green glow from all the radiation makes it easy to spot them).

So yes, while I didn't agree with Cerberus on a lot of issues, I agreed that keeping it intact would give us a massive edge over the oncoming reaper horde, not so sure I want it in their hands though, but I've got the damn IFF and a direct line to the Citadel Council... so MAHAHAHAHAHAHA SCREW YOU ILLUSIVE MAN!

Oh but I love Martin Sheen. Am I the only one when they started talking about ME1 imports that wasn't expecting much? yet it had a massive impact on the story, Wrek is king of the Krogens? Ash turned into a biatch? Hot Blue Smerf whose name I can't spell turned into a spy-king-pin?

I lost two people in the last battle, thinking of maybe loading up a save and trying to save them, lost Thane during the duck crawling, and Miranda because I couldn't get her to get over her damn 'tude after her fight with Jack, I swear before we went in the rely I was about 2 CM away from full paragon and she was still a mega ***** and I just gave up on trying to get her loyalty again.

No. I trust Cerberus as far as I can throw Grunt.
As the station was blowing up, I had to slide and catch Grunt before he dropped off the ledge...how the hell can a human catch a krogan with one arm?
Remember that Shepherd has been somewhat upgraded from human baseline by this point, and is capable of using weapons specifically stated to be able to break a human's arm when fired, as many filthy scum and aliens found out, when I blasted them with a shotgun designed for Krogans.

Anyone else had a bug that when you die during the final encounter, the reaper dies by one shot from the pistol when you respawn?

Also,

Saved the tech!

That technology is useless against the Reapers since the bloody Reapers created it. You'd think they have ways of resisting their own technology.

On my first playthrough I didn't destroy the base thinking that I can give it to the Alliance instead of Cerberus. Apparently it goes to Cerberus by default so I re-did the final mission to get a save where I destroy the thing.

I don't trust The Illusive Man nor do I trust Cerberus. He's bent on human domination of the galaxy "and beyond" and that is not a good thing. Ruling through brute force has never been a good idea nor will it be a good idea giving that most alien races are uncomfortable with a human only council. I'm all for humanity's place in the galaxy, BUT that place needs to be achieved through peace, not war.

The Illusive Man also said that what's good for Cerberus is good for humanity and THAT validated my decision even more.

The way I see it, there's no way ME3 might be "unwinnable" because of a decision from an earlier game and giving the base to the Illusive Man just left a VERY bad taste in my mouth. So I 'm just going to redo the last battle and blow the damn thing up.

Playing through the game with the default Shepard was bad enough (humans rule the galaxy, everyone hates you), I'm not about to set the third game up for another "Human Supremacy" ending...

I blew it up. Several reasons for that choice -
1.) they killed all my crew except the doctor, after I had become interested in them (like those 2 in the crew quarters talking about that guys family on a colony that was taken, or the engineers) and kelly who I watched be murdered in front of me.
2.) I don't trust cerberus, after the game constantly showed me how much they were trying to help I couldn't help but remember all the shit they did in the books and the first game.
3.) It's too risky, you saw what happened to the team who went to the derelict reaper, they went crazy, it's too hard to judge the concequences of letting it stay around.
4.) Wasn't exactly sure how they were going to get the pulse in there to exterminate all the bugs, and it kind pissed me off thinking that they just had to zap it to make it safe after I lost my crew, Tali and Zaeed in order to get into a position to blow it up.

No. I'm the ultimate Paragon, and something like that is just evil.

Also, what the fuck Cerberus? I hated you all through the game, and by the end of it all you had done was screw me and my crew over repeatedly? Fuck you and your desre to have an all powerful Super-Reaper!

And besides, that Reaper actually gave me nightmares it was so damn creepy, I am not letting another one of those get out in game 3

And finally, WHAT THE FUCK Cerberus?

I feel that I should have received renegade points for it because I did it specifically to piss off Martin Sheen. I was all renegade the whole way, I just blew it up because "I" wanted to be the ultimate badass in the universe, not Ole Blue Eyes.

At this point I don't think anyone has a bloody clue what the story of ME3 is gonna shape up to be like but I'm imagining some grandiose battle with numerous possible allies. Did you make with the nicey nicey with the Quarines? Legion? Clan Urdnot? So many questions...
I think its fairly clear that the game is going to revolve around you gathering everyone together or trying to get them to help eachother, such as ending the Geth/Quarian conflict.

It seems to me that the Partheons were corrupted by the Reaper technology and from what i gathered the reapers wanted humanity to replace them as their 'puppet' race to control the universe while they are asleep during the 50 thousand year gap. I personally dont think thats a particularly nice fate.

Seems to me this is going to directly impact Martin Sheen and Cerberus trying to lead humanity against the Council and other races so they can rule after the Reapers purge the galaxy.

I kept it for study. I have two characters, the first is a pro human renegade dickhead and the second is a bit nicer, and she'll blow up the base. I'm planning on saving both characters for the whole trilogy.
This is basically what I'm doing as well (well, she's less a pro-human dickhead and more just occasionally a jerk) -- one saved the council and one didn't, and so on.

That being said, Cerberus jerked me around and generally treated me like garbage; blowing up the base was deeply, deeply satisfying.

I blew it up. The IFF wrecked my ship and nearly had everyone killed and that was tiny. A full reaper will only be more trouble.

Buuut... At the end you see a bunch of reaper ships descending (or ascending) upon the Milky Way and that Reaper could be helpful in fighting against the invaders. Either way you're going to have a boss battle at the end of Mass Effect 3 that depends strongly upon what you did here so I'm definitely going to save it next time around to see just what happens.

Also, how the hell does a human shaped space ship fly around anyway? Would it be like Superman?

Blew it to hell, because that's more awesome. Also, those Reapers are arseholes, and who knows what kind of technology or safeguards they hid in there?

EDIT: Also, the Illusive Man started acting strangely, I thought he was working with the Reapers, almost. He's getting a special gift, my bullet, next time we meet.
