The Miranda hairdo just doesn't work on her, she looks more like a recent divorcee made up to go on the prowl. She was much more attractive as a tomboy.

Me, Im just glad I get to reunite with Liara and Ashley/Kaidan on the team again. Those two will probably even be my most used characters. I say that because, unless Bioware enjoy misleading marketing, the coverage the GI article gave them seems to scream "core, plot essential squadmate roles", probably even making the game cover.

Id say that Liara and Ash/Kai now occupy the same role Jacob and Miranda had in ME2, namely being the earliest squadmates to join and are a default part of your party. That huge screen of Kaidan, Shepard and Liara standing together as a team practically screams out as much.
