Only if Commander Shepard is there and always says "Hi, I'm Commander Shepard, and you are my favourite person on the citadel".

I would only accept a Mass Effect MMO if it was in the ME universe just not directly associated with the original ME storyline. Unless they do it WoW style where they set it up nicely for a war after ME 3. But i doubt they will.
So a ME MMO about say, The First Contact War, or during the time of the Rachni Wars, or the Krogan Uprising. A game set during that time could be good. done any other way, i think would be stupid

I would say yes.

But MMOs are a pile of cat turds.

So no. At least not for me.

The only way an Mass Effect MMO would work is if it was set in a different timeframe from the ME trilogy. I'm thinking either the Krogan Uprising or post-ME3 would be the ideal settings. Krogan Uprising because it's one of the best civil war elements in any game ever. I'd like to see people able to choose from any of a number of different factions, typically separated by species, all either working with or against each other and trying to survive the Krogan Horde.

Post-Reapers would also be a fairly cool setting for it, as you could help the galaxy rebuild. I could definitely see there being a lot of potential for fighting against bands of pirates or rogue Geth or somesuch.

But then what about the fact that every single class would have ranged attacks? I just don't think it would work.
Well yeah? I mean, cmon. Like we all resort to using swords. But yeah it could be an issue(TOR seems to find ways around it though). Since the Spectre would most likely been a soldier at some point and had undergone military training, there might be some instances of CQC and using a knife. That's probably as far as it can go tho.

But in TOR there is a logical reason for melee weapons, they are fucking lightsabers! In a Mass Effect MMO their would be no reason for anybody to use a melee weapon over a ranged weapon, because they don't have any advanced melee weapons.

Plus, who would use CQC or a knife against a Krogan or Asari Commando? The former would laugh and trample you, the latter would use biotics to hurl your dumb ass away.

Yes, if for no other reason that it would most likely have to go back to a armor/weapon system similar to Mass Effect 1. Mass Effect 2 was good and all, but it was lacking a lot of RPG elements.
This. This most importantly...

Do we have to be Spectre candidates? I think it'd be kinda jarring if the galaxy had a million Spectres running around. Why can't we be mercs?

That aside, I don't actually think Mass Effect would make for a good MMO. Sure, the universe is nice, but I don't see a lot of the mechanics translating well. For one issue, PVP would be an insane mess. I don't think it's fun to have my character biotically lifted and tossed out the nearest 50 story window. The alternative is that biotics can't do jack.

I've been wishing Bioware had been working on a Mass Effect MMO rather than the Star Wars one. The Mass Effect universe is kinda similar to the Star Wars one, but I find it more interesting.

Having everyone be a Spectre is damn retarded. Not only would it limit the available playable races, but you run into the Playable Jedi dilemma: When Everyone Is A Rare Super Badass, No One Is.

Spectres are supposed to be the Elite. The BEST OF THE BEST, Shaft in a space suit. Over the course of the past two games, Shepard has encountered THREE other Spectres; one dies and two were villains. They're agents, not an army -one never gets the impression that there's ten billion of them running around in the galaxy.

Have them be a Prestige Class. If you've got a military background and massive reputation with the Citadel, allow the player to undergo a series of dangerous missions mid- to late-game and EARN Spectre status.

Not EVERYTHING needs to be an MMO.

Like warcraft games.... oh wait that already is a shitty MMO. I swear to god I'll rant about how WoW is a watered down kid friendly version of what Verrant studios wanted MMO's to be like when they invented MMO's with Everquest for fuck sake.

After thinking about it...
No.
I love Mass Effect. I consider it to be the bestest game ever!

For completely bullshit reasons besides the fact that I just don't want to, I wouldn't want to play a MMO. I like my games to have a specific ending, k thanks.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. What is so wrong about everyone having ranged attacks? Is there really a need for melee to play a big role?
Besides, look at Krogan. They are tough and armoured, and like to charge into melee range. When there, they hit effing hard. So there can be an oppurtunity for melee.

Hell no. Let them ruin the already ruined Star Wars franchise with a potential flop MMO. Not Mass Effect. Mass Effect 3 won't be the last game set in that universe, but I'm hoping future games will be competitive FPSes and the like, not an MMO.
Competitive FPSes? No, no, a thousand times no. That's the absolute last thing I want to see done to Mass Effect. It's supposed to be an RPG series, dammit, stop agitating for Bioware to make it more of a shooter than it already is. You shooter fans have your Halo, Call of Doody, etc etc. Leave us RPG fans one bloody sci-fi RPG FFS.
