Please would someone give me 1 piece of Solid evidence why religion should be a big part of society?, and why that is a good thing, cause the way i see it, its all a bunch of mumbo-jumbo that should have been long forgotten.

some studies have actually shown that one of the top 10 things that make people happy is religion... but near the top of the list is sex so...

Intolerance and biggotry has been a huge factor in wars and conflict for as long as humans have been around. Isn't it time that stopped? Then there would be no need for people to go around spouting crap like this...

Thanks for making me the new messiah, that was actually more than i expected, but that still doesnt answer my question as to why religion has to still be around, it doesnt do any good, sure, its helped us humans out in the past, but now that science and technology has evolved to such a level as it is today, why do we still need it?

The way I see it, the human body was created in God's own image, so that means that he had full creative control of the project. If masturbation was a bad thing, it would hurt people a lot more.

I remember looking up "dangers of masturbation" once, and I got a site with about 2o bullet points of bad things that can happen, like early death, and blindness. Turns out it was an evangelical christian site. On that note, my catholic priest I grew up with whole heartily encouraged it.
