Poll: ME3 aside, have you gone back and played any ME?

I'm sorry about the ending, but this isn't about that so that's rule number one. I just want to know I saw a lot of people saying they will never go back to play the other two game. I at the time disagreed with those people. I thought 2 was addicting and 1 was epic. I even thought 3 was beautiful up to a point. However, I just realized I haven't had the urge to start up the games again. Maybe other people where more right about my own opinion than I was.

So I want to ask have any of you after playing ME3 to completion gone back and played? If so, for what reason.

For me I have not... I even stopped checking news about the DLC I have literally just stopped caring, and from the amount of posts I see about the ME series I was wondering how true this was of for most people.

I started ME1 because I still wasn't over it and just wanted to play Mass Effect...because I was on the quest for the perfect Femshep face

she still looked exactly the same as every other Femshep and I realised I should have just played ME3

so I am kind of replaying ME3 except I'm letting it sit to get through other games

I played ME1 twice, then ME2 three times, then went back and played ME1 again and ME2 again. I have played ME3 one and a half times, and played a fair amount of multiplayer.

I'm not sure I will ever go back and replay ME1 or 2 - not because I disliked ME3, I actually think it was fine. It's just now that it's over, I don't feel compelled to play it anymore. I am looking forward to story DLC though.

Yeah this is maybe how I feel too. The series is sorta over so I don't want to play it again. Really not sure what's keeping me from it. I loved the new combat gameplay and great characters. The only thing I hated was the fetch quests but they gave me something to do I guess.

I tried to start again. I wasn't going to start a new profile but I have a few Mass Effect 1 Shepards who are close to the level cap that I want to cap off. The thing is, since I can't connect to Xbox Live, my system doesn't recognize the profiles that have Bring Down the Sky info on them so the only way I can play ME1 is to start a completely new campaign and never, ever play Bring Down the Sky. I call bullshit and feel my annoyance with modern gaming intensify.

Not yet, but I will play ME2 and ME3 more times in the future. I just a have a bit of a backlog at the moment.

ME1 was mostly meh, I doubt I'll be playing it again for a very long time, if at all.

I played ME 1 and 2 so freaking much that the games are ingrained in my head and I cannot possibly boot it up to play ever again.

Still haven't finished ME3

I certainly hope the ending doesn't spoil the series for me, there have been some poor spots on the way, but it certainly has been a wild ride overall. If nothing else, I'll just stop playing just before the end, and imagine an endgame scenario that isn't the worst form of Deus Ex Machina (a phrase that is a bit more literal in this case)

Yes, I've started ME1 again and even though the combat is pretty terrible compared to the other two, I've noticed I still missed a couple of things. And this time I'm going to make every decision I haven't made before, completely against my own intuition. :p

Same here. My interest in the franchise died in the last 5 minutes of ME3 :(

Same. I never thought one moment could destroy all interest in a franchise quite as well as the ending did. But now I have no desire to play through any of it again - what the hells the point? You might as well just let Saren win in the first one, and go outside and play in the sun.

I still hope the DLC will fix, and if it does then my opinion will change completely, but with the ending as it stands I just have no interest other than a small passing MP fun.

Not yet but I'm sure I will. I expect I'll get over the crappy ending, especially if forthcoming DLC clears anything up. I don't even need them to "change" it, necessarily, I just need there to be more post-ending substance. Crappy or not, it was still far too abrupt.

Nod nod.

When you think about it, what Bioware did was actually kindof impressive.

It hasn't been that long...
I know a bunch of people replayed the first two games right before Mass Effect 3 came out, including me. I'm replaying Mass Effect 3 right now. I will continue to replay the first two games as well (I have about a dozen playthroughs for each already).

I plan to, but I want to wait a while, play a few other games first. And then play trough the entire series again.

I played ME3 the first time at a friend's place, so after that I went and did another playthrough of the series before buying ME3 for myself, that's one playthrough
now I'm considering making another one with a different class =P
