Since your definition limited us to the choices of "childish" and " always have a rowing oar up your ass," I had to go with childish.

Five year olds have not developed empathy.
So, I guess you should add amorality to the list.

I didn't realize that in order to be an adult, I had to shove a rowing oar up my ass.

...I'll stay childish.

As far as it goes, this list is pretty inaccurate. You didn't even think to mention cookies. You have to mention cookies. Bah to your list.

As much as possible.....though the prozac may assist me in that.

I seriously aspire to have enough money to live like this.

I subscribe. Also, have you ever noticed that in the hands of a little boy, all objects can fly, shoot lasers and missiles, and explode fantastically when they collide? And all animal-shaped objects roar and shout Die Die Die!

[HEADING=2]HOWEVER[/HEADING]

I don't think it should be called a 5-year old mentality because 5 year olds do not do the following:

laugh at themselves. They burst into tears and punch things
care immensley about the opinions of others, and will scream if you say "That drawing isn't very good" or "don't burp, it's horrible"

Also, 5-year olds are the most sociopathic, malicoius, unfeeling creatures in the world. Not 24/7, of course, and I'm not suggesting that I hate children and that they're all bastards...but..

There is nothing more malicious that a child's scorn. You get a little five year old deciding to pick on another kid for whatever reason (he's different in some small way), and that little kid will become a monster. They have no social inhibitions, and will punch and bully that other little kid whenever and wherever.

I think your definition of what constitutes "5 year old mentality" could use some work.

claymorez said:
-Be childish on occasion,
Everyone probably does this on occasion whether meaning to or not.
claymorez said:
-Not always have a rowing oar up your ass,
Not sure what you mean by this, but if you mean what I think you mean, it's a sign of maturity, not childishness.
claymorez said:
-Able to laugh at yourself,
This is also a sign of maturity, not childishness.
claymorez said:
-Not care about others opinions of your interest,
As is this.
claymorez said:
-Are one of 'us' who feel we own the Pokemon/Digimon/dragon ball Z generation and that although its been years and Pokemon just gets better graphics each time we pump money in.
I'm not sure what you mean by this. But every generation thinks fondly of the toys they had in their youth, whether it was Pokemon or a cardboard box with holes in it.
claymorez said:
-This is not 24/7 but I mean like it happens on occasion,
I have no idea what this part means.
claymorez said:
-SANTA IS REAL I will EAT anyone who says otherwise!
I've never met anyone who sincerely believes in Santa, child or adult.
claymorez said:
-The Escapist is awesome cause of the ppl on it,
This is childish? I believe this and I'm 35.
claymorez said:
-Dragons are Epic - think of it portable marshmallow heater!,
Not sure what you mean by "epic" here. Since there are no dragons around to toast my marshmallows it's a bit of a moot point.
claymorez said:
-Sparkly! meeeess wantss itss,
Grown ups like sparkly things too, and in some cases pay plenty of money for such things. Jewelers would go out of business without this "sparkly thing love".
claymorez said:
Hey are you dissing Lego? Lego is cool. I'll still think that when I'm 80.
claymorez said:
-PIRATES areeeeeee awesome (sorry just couldn't stop :p),
Well, depends which sort of pirate you're talking about. If you're refering to the "traditional" pirates, they did have some good fashion and folklore, but they also did a lot of raping, stealing and killing, and that has to be taken into account. Unconditional love of pirates is usually more of a fashion statement.
claymorez said:
-Cmon we all know that if you could make people, everyone you see on the street knows the song lyrics and voice cues of the Lion King Script, and could perform a musical in the street,
Oh come on, that would be cool, but I'd pick a better Disney musical than The Lion King, one of their worst ones ever.
claymorez said:
-Find it funny when I tell you a m8 of mine took another of his m8s onto the street, got a dog collar and a cane and was singing "one boy, boy for sale",
But that is funny, if it really happened.
claymorez said:
-Water slides -WHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,
Water slides are cool. I get vertigo so they freak me out and I definitely scream like a little girl when I go down them.
claymorez said:
-Love asking "why",
Questioning things is a sign of maturity and an inquisitve, healthy mind.
claymorez said:
-Like Comics or Manga,
That's childish, I'll give you that one.
claymorez said:
-Say on occasion, just cause you can, "To the Batmobile!",
So is that.
claymorez said:
-Occasionally read a really childish book,
I dunno, some kids books are fine.
claymorez said:
-Finish sentences with songs, e.g. "how do you feel about film? I do not like them in a box.
I did not like them with a fox. I did not like them in a house. I did not like them with a mouse. I did not like them here or there.I did not like them anywhere. I did not like green eggs and ham. I did not like them, Sam I am.",
People actually do this? I guess that's childish.

Anyway, yeah... most of the things you've mentioned aren't really that childish, and the few that are, are so damn silly that I can't believe they would regularly come up as an issue for someone.

I don't think girls like childish men, girls do want a guy that's fun to be with but they don't want someone who yells "to the batmobile" and spouts retarded memes every ten seconds. There's a difference between being fun to hang around with and just being a dickhead.

I'm a sales team manager, so sometimes I do have to be serious and responsible, but there's never a reason to stay that way all the time. This thread made me think of this:

Sometimes I like to pretend that TV remotes are in fact space ships.

I don't ever plan on growing up. I fucking love being childish. Sure, I'm maturing in some areas due to living away from home, but I am a child at heart and always will be :)

Well how do I measure up =D I'm sorry, but pokemon may be childish on the outside, but if you're sad enough to get into the whole 'EV Training' and breeding for good IVs, it turns into a whole different competition then.

But honestly, I flick back and forth. You can ask my woman, she sees my silly side as much as my serious side.

Nothing wrong with having a bit of child at heart.
Otherwise you'd be a miserable boring bastard to put it bluntly.
