Poll: Metallica fans, come sort this out!

ANd everyone forgets about battery?!? sheesh... Anyway being a metallica lifer I would have to say One was and is the best if I had to choose....but why choose when I can listen to both..lolz

One has a much deeper meaning(in my opinion) while master of puppets is about as metal as you can get.

I'll vote for One, I really love the calm melodic acoustic intro as it fades into the harsher metal riffs.

Personally, I went with Master of Puppets as it's my favorite song of theirs.

Both are great, though and I can't wait to hear them live on Dec. 1st.

Also I meant Master of Puppets has the longest instrumental in a song, I didn't mean it was an instrumental.

Fun Fact- One was based on a novel called Johnny Got His Gun, Wherein a boy loses his arms legs speech eyes ears etc to a shell in WW1, but is kept alive by doctors. He figures out he can tap out morse code with his breathing apparatus by feel, and starts broadcasting a message to everyone.

When the military comes in to translate the message for the doctors, it only says "Kill me" over and over again. They decline. A young nurse tries to give him peace in death but is caught. In the end he's taken away and left all alone in a dark room, kept alive by machines, trapped in his own mind. . .

Good day you lot, this debate just broke out at school on Metallica and a comparison between their 2 most famous songs, Master of Puppets and One.

I'd say Enter Sandman is their most famous song. I've never heard Master of Puppets and only know of One because of Guitar Hero.

Master of Puppets and One are by far there most famous songs, for some reason this got personal for some of those at my school.

My favorite song is Battery.

Surely if you are to be arguaing about the best metallica song, it is a criminal offence to ignore the first two albums (kill 'em all and ride the lightning).
I would say the best metallica song is one of either fade to black, for whome the bells tolls (echoing j-e-f-f-e-r-s is fun), four horsemen or jump in the fire, all are incredible songs
of the two suggested I've chosen One. Don't know why its just the song out of the two that I find myself listening to more.

I like Master of Puppets more.. Its such a beast to play (not that One isnt just I've played MoP more)

Well I voted One. I really like the tempo changes and the drums in One better than the still brilliant riffs in Master Of Puppets.

I'd still prefer any song off Kill 'Em All though, some proper pulse pounding 100mph thrash!

Ride the lightening was my favourite album of theirs hands down.

Ride the lightning is a masterpiece; it has a heavy influence from Cliff Burton. If they still had Cliff then they'd still be making great music. Damn Bob Rock..

I voted Master of Puppets, both songs are brilliant, but I just like Master of Puppets more.
(maybe it's because that damn Fast Solo A that I can't play in Guitar Hero =P)
