I dont see why people glorify a pervert.
Probably something to do with him being a cultural icon known worldwide, or something like that.

2.5 BILLION people watched it, heck that's almost the majority of the developed world. And I wasn't one of them *giggles*

The kid from Britain's Got Talent was good.

That was about it. Anyone else notice that his older son didn't seem too fussed?

It was very cheesy and cheap how the tour manager guy paraded that obnoxious kid around trying to promote his career. Fuck off with that shit, media whore.

Brooke Shields appears to have lost whatever acting talent she may or may not have had. Nice crocodile tears, lady.

When the little girl missed her daddy... that was genuinely sad.

I didn't bother. I'm a fan, I like a few songs. I also can't really imagine the world of pop without him. But, I don't see why one persons death can be more important than the next.

Was working... when we closed they turned it on and turned the volume on, so I heard his daughter say something, that was about it...

I DVR'ed the hell out of it. Brooke Shields' little diatribe was especially funny.

You know, I am, and always will be a huge fan of MJ's music. Thriller, IMO, deserves it's spot as the number 1 selling album of all time. It was truly a dynamic, genre changing record. And come on, PYT? Awesome.

But let's face it, despite the fact that the respective families of the children involved were really bad people, MJ had pretty clearly lost his mind. Whether or not he was a pedophile, he wasn't exactly the picture of goodness and wholesome values, and for that, I can't shed too many tears over his death.

Im trying to sound not as evil as I can but who agrees his family just looked like Men in Black "wannabees" with the sunglasses.

But yeah, his daughters speech was tearjerking at the very least.

There's a lot of insensitive statements being said in this thread. Some really ignorant. The passing of MJ and his memorial was the sending off of a great humanitarian. Regardless of what other personal traits are in jeopardy, people should be aware that we lost of one the world's greatest humanitarians.
