Well...my least favorite part would have to be when Ropeburn rushes you and you have one of those, "Press button x to not die" moments. I must of died thirty times in that sequence and I was downright convinced it was broken.
You do know that if you press a key (the "R" key (Default) on PC) it pretty much slows down time for a bit, making all "quick"-time events incredibly easy?
Granted, I still hated that part too. Pretty stupid, shouldn't even be in the game.
Overall, I'd say it's a wonderful game. I would not pay 50 dollars for it. I'm glad that I didn't. Also, if you didn't like it on a console, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you try it on a PC. It's much easier to control, I'd imagine, and easier to aim, easier to run, faster turn-arounds, etc, etc.
It was short, but it was
refreshingly short. If it was longer, it would feel dragged out and arbitrarily lengthened to say "blah blah blah x amount of hours of gameplay."
The story was incredibly bad, but I wasn't buying it for the story, I was buying it to have fun playing something that was different. I lol'd at the flash-animated cutscenes and was thinking "Why not just have the "LOOK WHAT OUR GAME ENGINE CAN DO" cutscenes you were having before that were in first person with me hugging people?"
The actual running is really, really fun. Combat, I don't know why you guys are bitching so much. Yes, there were too many guards, yes, it was mildly frustrating, but I think having a first-person game based upon hand-to-hand combat is pretty cool.
And for those of you who don't think so, tell me, have you done a wall-run, instant look the other way, jump off, kick, and do a spin-kick that instantly incapacitates someone? Have you landed on someone's face and instantly knocked them out, jumping from a balcony above? I think they were really cool ideas, and I kind of wish they were more difficult to do in the game.
The disarm mechanic is TERRIBLE. I must say, of all the ways you could have me do it, "press right click when it turns red (/when he pulls it back)" is pretty lame. I don't think reflexes like that really are fun. Granted, memorizing a huge combo isn't either, but with one simple rightclick, I grab his gun, toss it up and around his head, headbutt him, knock him out, and pick up the gun myself...Just kinda felt like you hit the disarm button and watch a cool movie for a few seconds, and I think it'd be better to, you know, actually get to do it yourself.
Anyway, for those of you who really didn't like the combat, and say "I BEAT IT IN 6 HOURS" I recommend time-trial mode. It sounds boring. I thought so too. It's actually really fun, even though sometimes you aren't exactly sure where to go (though half the game is like that). I find it very relaxed, very entertaining...
All in all, it's a great game. It has plenty of flaws, but it has plenty of great parts about it too, and honestly? I'd love to see a sequel, or extra maps, or something.
