I love the game, its a nice game just to sit down and relax to. The running flows well and it has a great visual aesthetic. As mentioned though, the combat has a bad habit of dampening things. I love the time trial where combat isnt involved, those are the best.

Don't believe everybody whose been whining about it. It's a solid game: a good way to spend a little bit of time and chill, especially if you're into parkour and/or action/chase sequences.

I highly recommend the game.

Mirror's Edge is a game I will defend to the end, yet I still am not sure exactly what it does right. I just know it must be brilliant because it makes the palms of my hands sweat like a hog's back (I know, disgusting right?). It certainly was a gem in the rough and had some bad levels, but in general, I really thought it was something special. The first-person basic running gameplay was stellar, the art design was breath-takingly beautiful and a welcome change after the contemporary focus on 'realism' that has been ruining modern gaming art, and the soundtrack worked brilliantly. I agree with the critics in here though that the gunplay was unnecessary - they could have just left it out and it would have been even better. The quicktime events in cutscenes were a completely retarded addition, and the hand to hand timing disarms were pointless.

There's certainly some replayability in there too, with the timed levels.

A sequel with the stuff fixed would be great. My cousin thought it was frustrating. Then again, isn't all platformers frustrating?

Note* Only played like 15 minutes of it. I remember I was pretty interested. I still am.

It's really a shame there won't be a sequel :( It would have been very interesting.

It's a perfect, short game. I still go back to it often, though; what levels there are are still thrilling to replay.

If you can get it cheap, you should get it. It isn't the best game, but it was unique and quite enjoyable

I liked it anyway. Though if they make Mirror's Edge 2: Please more levels were you jump across roofs and stuff. A lot of the game was inside. I loved the prologue where the entire level is across several skyscrapers but after that it's all INSIDE the skyscrapers.

I didn't like the game but that's because of the FPV. If it was 3rd person I'd have enjoyed it a lot more.
If it was 3rd person it would've been Assasin's Creed.

I liked it. I didn't love it, but I picked it up for aroun £7-8 so I have no complaints.

I liked it, but I'd recommend either renting or buying it when its cheap as it is a bit short and the speed runs ARE IMPOSSIBLE

You should have a "In the Middle" option. Its good, i nice relaxing game compared to most of the other first person games so far. But its short as hell. So if its for a cheap price pick it up, if its not cheap then get it used or just rent it.

it was a god game, unless you want a decent story, which it doesn't have, and don't mind beating the game in about 4-6 hours.
