Well its all down to personal preference at the end of the day. I much prefer BF's multiplayer and play-style compared with COD. But that doesn't make COD a bad game by any means, I just don't bother with the multiplayer and prefer the singleplayer. I'll probably buy it eventually so I can see how the story pans out, but I'm not shelling out 60 quid at release just for that.

I am very much looking forward to seeing how the campaign pans out. I loved the MW2 campaign, and by the looks of things already this is going to be good as well.

With Battlefield 3, I am not a big fan of the campaign, but I do love the multiplayer. Both CoD and Battlefield multiplayer are great, both very different from each other.

So overall I think I am more exited about MW3 than Battlefield 3, but I will get both, and enjoy both, because they are both great games.

Fuck the haters.

Personally I think Modern Warfare Three is going to be a much more fulfilling experience than Battlefield Three.
Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha!

Aha, aha... aha.

Oh man, you gave me such a laugh. Thank you so much!

I'd rather play MW2, walk for 10 seconds, MAYBE 20 seconds, and get quickscoped, than run around for 5-10 minutes looking for someone to kill, only to be sniped from someone across the fucking map.
You mean more tactical, realistic and less pandering to kids with ADHD. And i can't remember the last time I went without a contact for 10 minutes on any BF game, oh yeah, never. Maybe 1 or 2 minutes if you spawn far off, but you're never far from a contact.

So basically, the whole 'quicker time to contact therefore better' argument is massively invalid.

Like comparing a pineaple to a grapefruit because they are both fruit
BF3 and MW3 are two totally diffrent games
I'm going to buy skyrim and then see if I'll buy either of those.

I haven't played either so I don't know yet do I. The whole rivalry thing that's going on is stupid.

Based on my tastes and from what I've seen of both games I think BF3 will be better - for me at least. Others prefer Call of Duty game style and that's fine. There's no reason there has to be a dick waving contest about this.

Also I would like to point out the flaw in your poll considering you made it as a form of support for Modern Warfare. By splitting the "yes" vote for Modern Warfare you create an overall weak position for it, meaning "no" is almost guarunteed to win at least a plurality.

MW3 will have an epic end to the story but I think it will be a kinda crappy game considering activision seem to care more about the game having lots of explosions then a well made game, at least that's what Black Ops told me. While Battlefield has had a stronger focus on gameplay

Where's the option for them both sucking? Or, "I don't give a fuck about either of them"?

Heck, where's the option for "Wait until the games come out before you start making assumptions over the general quality."

Aye aye aye, we have this so often that x will outshine y for no reason. Personally, I think Mass Effect 3 will kick both of their a[r]ses, but it's not thread worthy.

OT: I'll judge when they both give us some multiplayer footage to go on.

Calumon: Maybe everyone in this thread has a magical crystal ball and can see anything they want! :D
This. But mostly the bolded bits.

ME3 is my most anticipated shooter. (Umad?)

I don't think there's much else to say. MW was better than expected. I didn't bother with MW2, I don't think I'll bother with 3.

It will still be a financial success and that's all that matters.

Honestly, shooters are not good storytelling games anyway. So both will have weak predictable singleplayer, best they can do is hope for some great defining moment(s) like the nuke in MW.

Multiplayer will be more or less the same as always, MW3 will be a more singular experience with one or 2 loadouts clearly trumping all others. And BF3 will be more team based to avoid that but your teammates will be retarded enough to cause it's own problems.

i really don't think their trolling because people enjoy both games and like to two sport fan they are just yelling out things that will make their team look better, while the other fan is trying to tell them all the bad things! HEY HERE AN IDEA WORK TOGETHER- i think that would be trolling in here. :/

Well this is one CoD game I will not buy before battlefield 3 also, the E3 Demo didn't wow me, like the others did, it was quite disappointing.

i dont like either game, but when i hear news about mordern warfare 3, it sounds exactly the same as every other COD game... -1
when i saw the battlefield 3 trailer i was actually amazed... amazed at graphics no less... meaningless aesthetics managed to impress me... which is rare... +1
dont get me wrong, i wont buy either... but BF3 has +1, MW3 has -1, clear victory so far.

What makes me choose Battlefield 3 i guess is Mr Boby Kotick well he's not helping my good thoughts of MW 3 anyway... And well MW 3 is for consoles and I'm a PC gamer, FPS'es on consoles makes me shiver for some reason...

Of course Battlefield 2 is still a great game, witch I love, and I pray Dice wont scr*w up BF 3

But yes I do also believe MW 3 will outsell BF 3 by far... sales is not the best indicator for how good a game is though.
