I don't have money to buy games.

I can't buy Skyrim.
I can't buy MW3.
I can't purchase items for TF2.
I can't buy Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
I can't buy Gears of War 3.
I can't buy Uncharted 3.
I can't Buy Zelda Skyward Sword.

I can't buy a lot of things. At least I have Arkham City.....

Well...burn me on a stake for putting this out,but that's one of the main reasons why all those cracking groups exist. Most of those are single player,if you own a PC,and you're in such a situation...you know what I'm aiming for.

And of course,if you want, and I kinda feel you should, you can always support the developers of a game you liked once you get some cash.

Not as much as I'd like to have. And I also play board games so I have to split that money between them and video games. I can still get about one game a month (unless it's an expensive one), or a few from the discount bin. With video games, I rarely buy anything that's just come out, and I actually buy quite a lot of older games that I've missed (SWAT4 + expansion, and Planescape Torment are the last two I got, for example).

I have plenty of money for games. Unfortunately, nobody seems to want to sell me games anymore. Just got a sizable bonus for clearing crunch-time with a week to spare, and nothing to spend it on.:(

Nintendo still hasn't cured their waggle-priapism, so for the first time since LOZ (NES), I have to not get a Zelda game thanks to 25 years of carpal tunnel making it not worth the pain. The less said about Metroid, the better. You'd think they would have learned from Fusion... Konami seems to think there is more draw to Castlevania as yet another God Of War clone than as Metroidvania-style. Atlus apparently doesn't think that XBox 360 owners are worthy of playing Persona games. Amy Hennig put a stake in LOK by leaving for Naughty Dog (Yes, that's an old wound, but it still bleeds). Mistwalker made a single awesome old-school RPG before switching up to a crappy bishie Final Fantasy clone, then evidently disappeared.

Not interested in thirty five iterations of throwing birds at pigs, pigs at birds, or pigs and birds at the sun, or whatever, nor for rebuying games I already own with a shitty 3D view tacked on to make me puke on my DS.

Clearly, gaming is no country for old men.

Well...I could go and buy various games, but I can't find myself very inspired to go and do so. I don't know if I want buy a game until after I've bought and played it, so I find something else to do.

I'm a student; which means I am paradoxically both in constant poverty and with masses of disposable income. So I'm chillin' for buying games. Got a backlog to get through anyway though.

Right now? Not really. Thankfully I have a ridiculous backlog of unfinished, in many cases unplayed, games... and all of my favourite MMOs have gone F2P, so it's not really an issue.

But of all the games you listed, the only one I can see being in a rush to play is MW3 and that's just because it's competitive and latecomers will always have a hard time catching up and having even matches with people who have been playing for months.
I'm waiting for Bethesda's obligatory 'big patch' for Skyrim. By that time the price will be sure to go down.

But I understand where you're coming from. I used to not be a poor gamer but luckily for me, that was back before Gamestop gouged the used market to $2 short of the new market. I used to be able to find used games from the past year for only $10; older than that for $5. This was also before all the pre-order "bonus" content, online pass, and all that kinds of bullshit - buying used didn't mean an abridged game.

Don't take this as advise, but if the me from 10 years ago was gaming now, between the used prices and the treatment of "used" gamers, I would probably be pirating everything at this point or just not gaming at all... not video games at least.

Ah the wonders of being able to rent games in stead of buying them. Instead of paying $60 for a game I instead pay $5-10. I always have money to spend on games if I wanted to but I find it rather silly to pay $60 just so I can own a copy of a game I will never play again.
Yea, renting has saved me a lot of money too. There are only one or two games released per year that are actually worth owning. Those ones I'll happily pay $60 for but otherwise, I'll rent it.

I do but I can only buy one or two games per month depending on the prices of them (sometimes more if there are sales at my local stores or on Steam.)
The rest of my money goes to paying off the essentials and saving for nice things/emergencies.
