English, totally. Although I'm partial to Irish too. For some reason I find that that really thick southern US accent unbearable. Although I'd never overlook a great woman just because of an accent, perhaps if she can't speak English or perhaps Japanese (I speak it too).

I'm Canadian.

Of course however your cities are far bigger so it's not as weird, our cities are smaller can be just a few miles apart from each other and the difference between the accent in such a short distance can be staggering at times. Here's an example Leeds is only 21 miles from my town of Barnsley and the accent is extremely different. Yorkshire it self has pretty much it's own language http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yorkshire_dialect_and_accent.
I live in Doncaster and can't understand a word that my Barnsley gf says :p (just over 10 miles)

Oh, and i like them frenchies

A British/Irish accent on a guy is sexy for girls, I think...
But in my opinion, an Eastern-European accent on a woman is very attractive.

Francais for women. must say Alistair from Dragon age has a sexy voice, though.

Well the easy thing to remember is that the word ow does not exist in Barnsley, Town = Tarn, Down = Darn, Sound = Sarnd and some parts of our accent I don't get but I pronounce it anyway do to instinct Boots = Bo-its, Coat = Coiet and Sword = Seward. our accent baffles most.

Where is the Welsh, South African and Scottish accent option? I want to go to Wales just to hear people talk with the accent.

Because I could only vote for one I voted for the American,, but I'd also vote for English and Russian.

Kind of interesting that american is even listed. There are a number of accents, but strangely I don't think ONE of them is really considered "attractive". There's Southern accents (Howdy Y'all!), California/Valley Accent (what-EVERRRR!), New York Accent (Fuhgeddaboudit!), Bostonian (TF2 Scout)... and those are just the more famous ones. There's "yoopers", (upper peninsula of Michigan. Close to stereotypical Canadian), Ebonic (Every rap singer EVER), Arkansas (Bill Clinton had this). The only american accent that could even be considered remotely attractive would be an upper-class harvard/new england accent, but that's because its just british with flatter tones. Worse yet, the only noteworthy example of someone who USES that accent is none other than Stewie Griffin* from Family Guy.

As for my vote, it gets me going to hear a female voice with any eastern european accent, so russian would be my favorite.

*apparently the accent was taken from actor Rex Harrington.

I definitely find the Russian accent more appealing than anything else. Its one of the ones I can actually understand.

There is southern, western, deep south, traditional American (often accepted as Northern), New York, New English, New Jersey, Gangster, Gangsta, New Orleans (Creole), Long Island. I think there are even more subdivision in the central and western states, but not being from that area it's hard for me to tell.

I think English is the most attractive, but I think Scottish and Australian are the most awesome accents.
