Poll: Most Kickass Sniping Weapon

Sniping in Gears of War always had a certain pleasure to it that I haven't been able to replicate in other games. It could just be the way the head pops off, but damn is it ever satisfying when you get a sniping kill.

I mean, that was quite an idea, taking a weapon with unlimited range that instantly kills then putting a SCOPE on it. It's damn hilarious.

The Sniper + Heat vision scope (Re4) has always been a favorite weapon of mine, also the sniper from Fallout 3 sucks, like the missle launcher the bullets/missles move far too slowly and do far too little damage to kill an enemy without V.A.T.S mode.

I really like the sniper rifle in Blood Money, it's pretty cool, you could get a lightweight frame and a big ass silencer and pack it up conveniently in a suitcase for easy transport!

What from

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty or MGS: Substance. Don't remember seeing it anywhere else.

To take a vote, I like bolt action rifles like the Steyr Scout, but I'll have to go with the Fallout 3 Sniper Rifle, although it's essentially the same one as in 1&2. .308 if I'm not mistaken.

The PSG-1 is also in the original Metal Gear Solid, it's the rifle used in the battle between Snake and Sniper Wolf.

On topic: Red Faction Railgun. What's better than a precision weapon? A precision weapon with X-Ray vision that ignores walls.

SVD Dragunov is somewhat redundant, as SVD = Snayperskaya Vintovka Dragunova (The Dagunov Sniper Rifle).

its true, it was designed to be an anti camping weapon (cause it could seek out people and if you were standing still you were fucked) but its such a good weapon that you could easily just build a tent and win the game

Trust him, it is true, I've used it. When my friends played that game, one of us would start searching for people through walls (it does that on its own), while everyone else defended him. The kills would just go through the roof.

Out of those it would be the Battle Rifle. I assume it's the one from Halo.

But my most favourite sniper rifle is actually the Human Sniper from Halo 3. Killzone 2's is pretty good aswell.

All the sniper rifles in CoD4 are pretty decent. I don't really like the Drauganov too much though. It's supposed to be like the M21 with more power but I didn't like it as much.

Not at all, it's as difficult to use as any sniper, but everything he said about it is true. Isn't that strange? Man they had good weapon balancing back in the day...

Also, the PSG-1 was also in RE5, not just Metal Gear.

Also, my favorite is the R700 sniper rifle in COD4 ^o.o^
