How the hell is Rikku on this list?? She is the most powerful character in FFX, Aeaons aside. She can make every character hit for 9999, or reduce enemies health by 15/16s or apply every single buff, fully restore health and apply auto-pheonix to the whole party, in 1 move.
If anything Satz should be on this list. He was useless.
I voted Penelo btw, all the characters in FFXII were basically the same and could fill any role, so you never had to bother with her at all.

No kidding. I don't even like FFX, but Rikku can be absurdly powerful. She's pretty much the center of any low-level run (as far as I know/remember) for all the ridiculous item combos she can use that don't depend on stats or anything. If you don't know what to do with her, that entire skill is pointless, but it has a huge number of options if you have the items and know what to do with them.wkrepelin said:

Quina actually got pretty powerful if you bothered to collect its Blue Magic abilities (especially when power-levelling against those pesky Yan). Rikku stole the FFX world blind for me in both games, so I'm not gonna badmouth her, either. (plus, FFX allowed you to cycle thru the entire party during a battle, which was damned useful)
Cait Sith's slot attacks, on the other hand, were freaking useless....

Ninja'd right away. I suppose that's a testiment to his uselessness. I gave him a chance half way through the game. I anticipated there would be areas where I'd need to use him, and I gave him a shot (and I was kind of right). I thought, "maybe this cat thing gets better at higher levels." Quina is actually very powerful. I ate tons of enemies .... became one of my best attack characters with Zidane, Steiner, Amarant and Vivi. She/he can also learn powerful healing magic.
For me in FF9 Freya was useless .... just goddamn use Jump and get out of my sight, u damn rat.
In FF8 - Selphie was mostly useless.
In FF7 - Cat Sith
In FFX - I'd say Rikku, but only because I never felt the need to use her.
Overall, I'd say Sith
EDIT: Actually, other than Auron I found most of the characters in FFX to be weak. Furthermore I found FFX itself to be an incredibly easy game.

I don't really get why Rikku was here... if you can use her mix ability right you can shred most common monsters, stealing is a good way to replenish supplies, and she can one-shot any mechanical unit. She was situational use only, but she was a good support character at least. The most useless character from that game was probably Wakka....
