i voted maps but there's alot that they can add that would improve it alot, such as adding more to a campaign such as an extra level or two maybe even have a choice in which path you choose such as going down into the sewers as opposed to climbing in a hotel and continuing there on, and even other things such as death match (2-8/4 humans(your choice)) to other things like survival (they put you on a large circular map with about 12 med kits, any weapon you want, and every 5 rounds and ammo thing comes out) and you have to fight to the death(wait, aren't they coming out with a survival mode?)

The game is in some serious need of content. Preferably in the form of new modes.

I know valve have a habit of taking forever to tweak what little they make to perfection and then saying they'll release more glorious chunks of gameplay later. But they take so bloody long in doing so in the effort to attain such perfection that by the time their done we've already gone back to ruddy team fortress 2.

Oh the good news is there's a DLC on the way for both PC & Xbox with a new mode. And some sort of usermade content thingy for the PC version like they have in Team fortress.

What I'd love to see is an Undead Pyro :'].

She is only suppose to use pistols but due to gameplay she gets every weapon. Also Zoey played alot of counter-Strike. Tru story dat.

I would really like to see a survivor mode obviously starting with a table with a second pistol and 2nd tier weapons and a health pack each then a medium-large sized arena (perhaps one based on each of the current campaigns?) where molotovs, pipe bombs and pain pills an spawn.

I'd love to see an end to "corner humping" (never heard it called that before) as well. But turning on clipping would probably present some new problems, particularly with people that are insuring that others have a bad time. I could just see some little punk standing in a doorway and blocking everyone from going forward, and then going AFK or some crap.

That's the only term I've heard to describe it actually. Usually from a frustrated infected player and accompanied with some derogatory terms. Presumably with clipping you'd be able to push a fellow survivor, which would make door blocking unfeasible, you'd just have to put some limits on it, like not letting it push someone over a ledge.
Why would door blocking be unfeasible? Happens constantly in Counter-strike. And I mean constantly.

Unless there's an actual "push" button, but that'd really be abused to no end.

More maps. Quality is good and so on, but quantity has it's own quality. I'm pretty sure I remember most of the places where might be medkits or pills by now.

EDIT: Also, there should be somekind of a system to prevent cowards survivors from exploiting places. Maybe the Director should spawn a Tank if it notices the survivors camping a toilet or something.

Zombie VS Zombie would be amazing. The hunters could have mid-air claw fights are something, and the smokers could strangle boomers and blow them up with their tongues. Just a thought.

I think the coolest thing would be more sprawling non linear maps. Like blood harvest, except instead of a linear pathway, make it just a huge forest with bumps in the terrain or something like that. And make all the possible routes lead into one place. Or maybe their would be a map with multiple safe houses, and if you went through one safe house you would end up in a different place then if you went through another safe house. That would be cool. I also think the addition of more weapons would be cool, like grenade launchers. Boss fights would also be welcome. The tanks get repetitive after a while. Maybe if there were boss fights with weak points or something or like you had to drop tires on them.

Also it would be cool if someone made a republic commando mod. That would be epic. I can't wait till the SDK comes out, cause I cannot be the first person to think of that.

It needs more maps. The other problem is that it needs less idiots, but that can't be helped. Most people can't seem to figure out that you don't always have to use the default settings of No Mercy Normal mode so even more maps might not help that. Also, the characters need to be differentiated. They are all essentially the same in gameplay, so, aside from who's lines you like best, it really doesn't matter who you choose.

Maps is all I really feel I need. New guns won't add anything, but maps mean more content (both from a gameplay and a story perspective). The complaints some people have had about the melee attack I haven't noticed being a problem (but that doesn't mean it isn't-I just haven't seen it.)

I don't think non-linear maps are a good idea, especially given the horde nature of the game. It's too easy to get lost or worse, separated, from the group and L4D's strength is the demand it places on co-op (I think). Things that work against that strength should be very carefully considered before adding.

All the game needs is maps, and maybe one or two weapons, other than that im happy with it.

I've seen this too, and I disagree with it. Leveling the playing field by making them all the same means that the character doesn't matter, only the skill level of the person playing it. Plus, it would mean less 'fights' over character, or protests "s/he only did that b/c I wasn't playing Zoey!"

And as has been noted, there are enough idiots online as is.

A survival mode for the survivors where you have to hold out but you have to go out to get more health/guns besides pistols. Like Nazi Zombies.

I don't understand why people want more guns.
Sniper is for range.
Shotgun is the starting version of auto shotgun.
Auto shotgun is an upgraded version of The Shotgun.
same with uzi and auto rifle

+ grenades.

It's unrealistic enough that those weapon lie around a city o_O

I voted for more maps :)

I picked "other" because I want them to slow down the darn run speed so I can get more immersed in the world. Is it too much to ask that my supposedly "normal" character doesn't run a four-minute mile?
