Worse than Hitler you say? I say we implement the final solution for the winged fluttering vermin of the night.

So genius they come expecting warmth, safety, and sustenance, but only receive a painful death by way of 100,000 volts of electricity passing through their nightmarish little bodies. HIEL HAZE!!

here in australia, we're quite lucky enough not to have a moth problem. why?

Cause if these guys can take out a bird, they certainly can take out a moth or two before they make it inside.
Need a Guard dog? pffft. What you want is a guard golden orb weaver.

OT: I find mosquitos to be more of a problem than moths in the warmer months. I swear my A positive type blood is like sugar to them
I already know about Australia and her untold horrors. I made a thread a few weeks ago about a snake-eating spider. It was unsettling to say the least o_O

I'm fine dealing with the little ones but the bigger ones with fur on it is a different matter. For some reason I can't squesh those as it it emitting a do not kill type of aura. Well ok I think it's more due to the fact I view them differently for having fur making it less insect like (all insect I've deal in the past are furless) and the bigger they are the more messy it will get at killing it.

They aren't as bad as spiders. Seriously, almost sprayed an entire bug killing spray thingo trying to kill one and you know what, it still didn't die! I called it zombie spider.
I've developed an ingenious method for removing spiders.

-Take one of those compressed air cans you use for cleaning a PC out
-Flip it upside down
-Spray onto spider. The propellant comes out and freezes solid, before evaporating and leaving the SPIDER frozen solid
-remove ice-spider with tweezers and repeat on every living thing in the house.

Just sitting at my computer i can see a little graveyard of defrosted dead spiders in the corner
Where would one buy these canisters? It could be fun!
Any computer store. It is the most satisfying thing, especially when you have one of those big bastards that appears to be about 99% legs with a tiny body in the middle.

I actually love moths, they are my favourite animal (if you count insects as animals[footnote]I know people who don't.[/footnote]) along with snakes.

There are quite beautiful specimens, they don't bite or sting.....and for some reason, they like me. I've had at least three incidents in which a moth landed on my shoulder and stayed there for 20 minutes.
Recently, I also had a giant moth land on my leg....it was so incredibly plushy (the moth, not my leg). Adorable.

Moths are beautiful! I love it when they grace my bedroom in their beautiful, nightgown-esque wings. I onced raised a massive brown one from a catarpillar....it was so fluffy and fat.

The thing with moths, is that their furriness isn't cute.

It's great if you don't know any better, but the scales on their wings and their hair is designed to flake off when it's aggravated, causing irritation. You don't want any of that crap in your eyes, I'm telling you.

I'd love to think that I could just hug a giant moth or tarantula, I mean, look at it!

D'awwwwwwww!

But those hairs will break off in your skin and irritate you for days.

Fuck those bastards.

I would rather burn alive inside my oven of a room than let them in.

I don't mind moths, Mum freaks out around big ones. Mosquitoes annoy me more, biting, causing itches..... eugh.

Also, I live in Tasmania, and being a bit of a bushwalker, I've had at least 3 close encounters with these guys.

One of those encouters I almost stepped on it. Not. Cool.
Getting paralyzed is not of my list of things I want to do before I die.

Cute/silly looking spiders and moths aside, I don't get all the hate.
Especially spiders solve more problems than they cause. (unless they're poisonous)

A moth can no more harm you than you can tear the jaw from God himself. I cannot fathom how one could be frightened by a being a feeble as a scrap of paper, that would fly into the heart of the sun, had it the ability. They aren't even particularly bothersome, they mostly just lounge around and molest light globes.

Fucking moths......I think the most I've had in my room is around 10 or so one night. Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head. And no matter how many you kill they just....keep.....coming.

Seriously, they're the one reason I don't squish spiders when I see them. I figure the spiders might eat the moths....but I still see the moths. Therefore the spiders must be failing.....fucking spiders.

It's not about being frightened. It's about being pissed off when there's a bunch of them flying around casting annoying shadowed everywhere and flying into your face. I swear, those fucking thing AIM for our faces!
