No. Too far? That would mean people enjoy being called idiots for liking a movie.
I like Bob cause he spots things I don't. That, for me, means he is doing his job right. Everybody jumps the shark every once in a while. Even Roger Ebert (but then he changed his statement).
I didn't like that he called out people going to see this movie but I will say this: Remember that the opinion of the public often changes when coming out of the theater. I bet my copy of Spider-man: Torment that most people will change their minds when they compare Scott Pilgrim to The Expendables. But that will never happen. People do things they consider safe. Losing money on a movie you may or may not like like Scott Pilgrim over a movie you are most certainly gonna have fun with is not much of a contest nowadays.
