If someone can get 4 kills without dying then they aren't that newbe. If someone puts on hardline to get it in 3 kills then they don't have lightweight. if you run with an M9 your a lot faster then if you run with an RPD so you should run faster when your holding a small can of smoke. I don't really mind it, if someone is running right at you it usually doesn't matter how fast they are cuz you can't outrun a bullet.

Well the thing is, you can only knife while doing that. Therefor its fair. You can't jsut bum rush the enemy in the open for they will gun you down. You have to use tactics when doing the care package sprint.

So yes its fair, and i use it on my "Sprinting Shanker" class.

So cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it you haters.

you're saying it takes skill because you can't shoot while exploiting?

it's used so they don't HAVE to shoot and the only way to shoot a knifer is if they run straight at you from far away or if you happen to be holding a shotgun and are on a caffeine binge...

This is a game where you launch predator missiles at people from 1,000 feet in the air.

Fairness doesn't enter into it.

I am a stealthy player, most of the time. When I'm being sneaky, one of two things will happen: If I have a knife, you're dead. If I have a gun, you're dead.

Now, if I had the knife, I'd have to get really close to you. If I had a gun, I'd be able to get you from any distance.

Which one takes more skill? Neither take skill, they both take strategy.

What I'm trying to say is, if you haven't noticed me and shot me by the time I'm within 50 feet of you, you're dead. It doesn't matter what I use, everything in the game can be cheap depending on how you use it. And G18s aren't actually that good. I've used them and seen them used, but they never seemed overpowered.

Also: Have you ever even thought about a gun? How the hell is that fair? Shooting metal shards at 1500 feet per second, and more than one shard at once? Guns are freakin' cheap!

If it's meant to be, it's not a glitch, therefore not bad.

'nuff said
I know its not a glitch, but I don't think Infinity Ward really thought about people doing this, and its definitely not what they planned when they added it. I think it'll probably be fixed or atleast adjusted. Hopefully. Still Unfair.

I've never noticed... I'll have to look into that, can't say it annoys me in particular though.

simple physics really, if you're holding a little smoke grenade with your gun on your back, you will run faster, and marathon has those effects, its pretty cool if you cant bother using your common sense and shooting the person
Did you really say it is simple physics, you still the gun on your back meaning it weighs you down anyway whether your holding it makes no difference, its like saying "I cant run as fast carrying a 10 kg weight but if it is on my back I can run my fastest"

Its a horrible thing, just like the game. Campers, Akimbo, Noobtube, Knifers, and Host advantage, Killstreaks. No other game has so many redonkulous ways to kill without any skill.

It's exploiting a glitch, which is cheating and against the ToS for Xbox Live. That means you can get banned for it.

I have no sympathy for anyone abusing any sort of glitch. ... Unless we're talking about Halo 2. Those glitches made the game better though.

im sorry i'll simplify my post so that you can understand a little better.

HAving your gun on your back puts less pressure on your arms and more pressure on your back, aka the spine (in case you didn't know) the strongest part of your body. Now having less pressure on your arms will allow you to run at a stable stance and have much better (linguo)
Look at a riot shield for instance.
That makes a lot more sense thanks :D

It's retarded with or without the care package, commando/marathon/lightweight Knifing alone is fucking pathetic, it's unintended, it isn't a damn sword game and only people who can't aim or are bad resort to this.
Unintended? IW made their own class (First Recon) based around this. It's not an exploit, it's not bug abusing, it's most definitely intended. Afterall, it makes you for a much stealthier killer and it doesn't rely on ammo, which has it's advantages, and you don't need a silencer, which means that you can leave that valuable attachment space open for something better for when you do switch to guns.

I love the First Recon class from time to time. The UMP for long distance, the Magnum itself for medium distance or the knife to run in and stab him. I get a healthy balance of kills with all 3, and the upside is that I don't go out of ammo quickly, which means I can usually keep going longer. Except on the rare occasions that Rust pop up, especially in Free-for-All that map is a freakishly fun and hectic knife-fest.

At least it's a lot more fun, dynamic and challenging than camping in a corner, as is the problem with MW2 quite often. The whole game rewards camping.
No. It's not. You're bad for using it sorry.
