Well, leave to an old guy to say this. My first FF was the original FF on the NES. I still have it and bust it out every now and then to give it a whirl.
I think its better if you have played them as a kid. I played VII when I was, like, 7, and I have really great memories of it, but even when played today, I still somehow really love it, especially as (except the big spoiler that she dies) I remember nothing of the storyline. If there's one turn-based JRPG I'd gladly play when I get a PSP, its Final Fantasy VII.aimhellfire said:so what was your first final fantasy? how was it for you? Mines going to be XIII, really besides pokemon it's going to be my first JRPG. What's to be expected from this video game behemoth?
FF3 was definitely not the crown jewel of the Final Fantasy series, in my opinion.Gilbert Munch said:Number 3 on the DS - I was a little late to the game, and didn't actually like it too much...
Then I played Lost Odyssey and figured out why everyone loved JRPGs.
You should play 10 first, it's the best of the series.aimhellfire said:so what was your first final fantasy? how was it for you? Mines going to be XIII, really besides pokemon it's going to be my first JRPG. What's to be expected from this video game behemoth?
Oh noes a guy in a dress!Meemaimoh said:FF8. It was awful. It was slow, it forced you into long and meaningless conversation and sidequests, it had massive gaping plot holes, and it was all-round dull.
I then played FF7, because I heard it was better. I got to just past the point where Cloud dressed in drag and got felt up by wrestlers before I realised it might just be even worse. :/
