Swanky or not it makes no practical sense to buy a pocket watch.
I hate the weight of a watch around my wrist, it just feels wrong. Where is your god now?

Actually at the moment I don't even have any watch. I just use my phone which I keep in my pocket, oh dear. What was that you said about practicality? You wear a wristwatch? Those are so pointlessly impractical; you must be some sort of idiot hipster.
In honesty I don't use a wrist watch either, I use a phone.

But I don't ring up the boy to nip on down to the yards and send a telegram to the Prussian consulate either. I have a phone.

Nor do I use a walkman, diskman or otherman. I use a phone.

And one day there will be secure direct-to-brain transmissions. And I will not use a phone.

Once again, I don't care for ponies. The quality is higher than regular kids programming, but that doesn't say a whole lot.

Certainly, It's fantastic! Not everyone's cup of tea but basically from what I've seen, If you are an avid fan of Animation, you'll like MLP. I understand that some of you may thoroughly enjoy animation yet dislike MLP, no problem, but everyone I personally know who adores animation loves MLP.

Anyways, now for some Pics which I thought the escapist community may find interesting, after a very quick browse of my pony folder I selected a couple of pictures, it's clogged full of pictures, I should have kept it organised :(.

Meh. It's pretty cool. I enjoy it, but I wouldn't call it the greatest thing ever. Just sort of a breath of fresh air to what I usually see.

The one with Tali and Twilight warms my icy, black heart.

Unfortunately Hasbro doesn't seem to think the same way as I've noticed episodes on Youtube coming down as of late.

It's been unconfirmed by Hasbro, and there are several signs pointing that it might infact be a bunch of 4chan trolls, such as the way that 'Hasbro Inc has flagged the video' 3 times. 3 times :O.

Somebody pointed to me that the ones being taken down were likely ripped from iTunes (they don't include the watermark or Secret Butt Fun [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acWnntZruCw] in the credit sequences). That was pretty much asking to get slapped for infringement for giving away for free the exact product they're trying to sell.

We'll see if pensivepony gets hit, that guy's only got TV recordings.

Is this like the gamer equivalent of the pacifiers used on the rave scene?
No.
They contained MDMA, among other things, and were never opened up by bouncers. Ponies contain approximately 0% Class A substances. XD
Oh. I thought they were there to stop you biting your cheeks, and because the sensation of suckling on something [the sensation of pretty much everything, actually] apparently feels nice when you're on that particular drug.

At first I was thinking "oh look, another cartoon featuring a friendship group in which each member represents a particular social stereotype, with a fan base of young males trying to imply they're so comfortable in their masculinity that they can like something targeted at little girls ironically". Then I ended up watching the entire episode, and another one. I think it's on par with the Nickelodeon cartoons I liked as a kid. I'm not really one for fangirlism though, and the "subculture" thing seems a bit extreme.

I watched the first three episodes. The animation is quite good, and the writing is certainly above the usual fare for a cartoon aimed at young girls, but it wasn't enough to keep me enraptured as it has for so many others. I quit when I realised every episode was going to end with a 'what I learned' sequence and went back to watching Adventure Time.
