Anyways, I haven't seen it in a while. So I wouldn't know what it's like now. I really only watched The Man Show, Ninja Warrior and Code Monkeys on it. I thought the remainder of the shows sucked.

My opinion is that G4 always sucked, but I was just too stupid to notice it. First of all, Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb just aren't funny. I'd add an "anymore" to that sentence, but I'm not sure they were EVER funny.

Oliva Munn can do no wrong in my eyes. I have only been watching the network for about two years now, but having seen the "rewinds" episodes, I can't see too much of a differnce.

I like G4 but no more Cheat =( and ninja warrior and unbeatable banzukai are crap,I used to watch it alot but now from like 6-7:30 (AOTS-X-Play) and they have less shows
As soon as they got rid of The Screen Savers and Unscrewed with Martin Sergeant I knew it was going to be shit. The only thing I ever watch on it any more is X-Play and occasionally Attack of the Show, which are the only decent programs they have.
But they did play 'The Terminator' and 'The Road Warrior' a few of nights ago so they've earned a few points in my book. Those points were then instantly taken away the moment I remembered that they play shit like Cops and Cheaters.

At this point the ONLY show i watch on G4 is "Attack of the Show" X-play went down the drain hard out of nowhere, I remember when it was strictly game reviews, and that awkward announcer guy in the beginning then they started doing these weird segments, and now they rarely do a game review. It's sad too when they have to interrupt Attack of the Show with Morgan Webb basically saying, "This is an advertisement for X-play, please don't change the channel after, ATOS finishes."

i effectively stoped watching G4 the day 3 days after the xplay revamp they did a few months back, to be honest im sad because i didnt discover g4 untill about 6 months before they stated to mainsteam, i remember when the manshow premered, i will admit i appreciated the star trek tng reruns, but i miss that one show ( cant remember the name) it was like gamers diaries or somthing, u guysll know it was a show about how they made certain sucessfull game franchises and stuff, i especially liked the one on the grand turismo series. dated all the way back to the early eighties.
Now i go to the website and watch things like sesslers soapbox, and the ocasional review. but i think theyve been bought out in the review market, ie fable 2, a good stand alone game, highly enjoyable, but it wasnt a 5 i mean seriously 5s are for the games that revolutionize a genre or embody a console, ie halo and the xbox.

You're thinking of icons. I hate, hate, HATE, Cristin Holt. And Blair Hurter. Also the fact that the only steady people they have on attack of the show are Kevin and Olivia. The British chick is too busy doing poker half the time. I have thought it has gone from gaming to more like SpikeTV. I do like your MTV analogies because it did always bug me that MTV hasn't lived up to it's name in years.
I like AOTS, I hate that XPlay got watered down, Duty Free is fun when you're bored, Cops is ehh, Cheat sucks so much now, and I wish they'd bring back all the shows that made G4 awesome. So yes, I do think G4 took a nosedive, but I don't think they should get rid of AOTS...ever.
I used to watch G4 on a daily basis. Then they ruined it. They changed X-Play, they only play old reruns of Cops on the weekends, and they got rid of these other cool show (like Brainiac, not exactly technology but science in general)
Well my main point I want to make was X-play/EXTENDED PLAY(if anyone remembers). It used to be a satratical(did I spell that right?) actually Funny show. Here how they screwed things up. I'm just talking on the X-play basis because no one here is defending the old show.
1) It reviewed games we want to hear about.
2) It lost Roger: The Stan Lee Experience
3) They used to review games BRUTALLY!!!, Now the only person who reviews like that is Zero Punctuation. They even air ZP on X-play, or the few episodes I saw of the reformed X-play.
4) Their Rating Scale was spot-on in my opinion, on a scale of 5 seemed to fit. Anything that was above a 3 was almost a must play, they reviewed without bias. Now I heard people buy their 4's and 5's.
5) Do they still host the Golden Mullet?
They can still bring it back, but they will need to change the way the show works. If they want to bring the Station back to the Hardcores and tell the casual players THIS IS OUR WORLD...you just live in it. They will need to get rid of the Cops Crap, along with Cheater...well cheaters is alright....but the Man show and AOTS need to go.
