Yeah, I loved it! Finished it in 2 hours with no guide or help, it really isn't that hard if you explore everywhere and memorise where things are. The only bit I found annoying was the swimming past the whirlpools.plastic_window said:Yeah, the sailing really broke up the action - for me, though, I thought the dungeons were very clever and they had a couple of neat items like the deku leaf and the grappling hook that kept the game seperate from other iterations of Zelda. Plus, I loved the cell-shaded look. I mean, really. Looking back on it now, it's still one of the nicest looking games on any system from that generation. Everything looks really polished and it all has a distinctive charm that still looks good today.miracleofsound said:Yep that was my thread, I personally felt that A Link to the Past was the best Zelda game though I did love Ocarina despite it's little niggly flaws.
Wind Waker would have been by far my favorite were it not for the endless sailing segments. The control and gameplay felt a lot tighter and more refined than in Ocarina.
But Ocarina had the Water Temple... that was awesome!
Didn't meant for that to go on as long... Wait a minute... Are you serious?! You loved the Water Temple?! The wrong-save-gotta-start-entire-game-again Water Temple?!
I was talking about the blob of water. They just could have worked on that boss a little better. I know what you mean about Bongo Bongo but it wasn't that bad.miracleofsound said:Amorphous blob of water or Dark Link? Because the blob was piss easy compared to some of the bosses... stand in a corner and fire your hookshot! Dark Link was challenging unless you used the Biggeron's sword.DownOnTheUpside said:I give my vote to Ocarina of Time with Twilight Princess in second place. I hated Majora's Mask for some reason.
But it also had the most stupid and most annoying boss ever.miracleofsound said:But Ocarina had the Water Temple... that was awesome!
I found Bongo Bongo the most annoying boss, HATED it. It was very tough to lock onto the hands or dodge its attacks due to the cyclical nature of its movement. And timing the arrow to the eye took some trial and error which is never fun...
Sometimes the shortest posts articulate more than every other post on the thread. Agreed 100%spuddyt said:In absolute terms, Probably not - in relative to the time of release terms... maybe
