Poll: Never Played Counter Strike

I started playing CS in Beta 4, back when the M4 had a non-detachable suppressor, and a scope like the AUG does. The pistols continued to fire if you held down the mouse button, and there were no smoke grenades. There was an "Escape" map type, and there was more than one VIP map.

It was the first game I got when I finally got a good computer, I had heard that it was good and cheap so I got it. I think its good, I still play it if I get bored of everything eles but I only play on 1 server because it has all custom maps, a system that automaticaly gives you the next best weapon every time you get a kill(starting with the glock), and a system that lets you choose the punishment of anyone that team-kill you, ranging from death to blindness to fliping their wiew sideways on them. Most other servers are'nt fast paced enough for me to stay interested.

Counter-Strike is fun in small doses. Until you find one of the 10 million hackers around. Then it isn't fun at all. I swear VAC doesn't work.

Find good servers to play on where admins are active and trusted, it makes all the difference. I very rarely even try and play on any servers I don't recognize anymore.

And yeah, CS is probably the game I've spent the most time playing in my gaming career, if you count all the versions at least. I can remember when CS:Source came out I hated it because I felt like it had changed the game a ton.

Anyways, I've played Counter-Strike for a while, since 1.2 I think. I still do occasionally.

I personally think its a great game. This is mostly because I can just jump in and play whenever I want. I play it every now and then, just to make sure I'm not getting rusty. Play for a week, get back into the groove of things, move on to another new game. Its a great way to pass time in my opinion.

I prefer CoD4. For CSS I just really play with bots and my friends, surf maps or other modded maps like Zombie maps.

I've always wanted to give it a try but I doubt I'd play it often enough to get to a decent skill level where I wasn't owned all the time.
