Scrubs? Don't get me fucking started on Scrubs. It has its funny moments, but then it becomes all emotional. It's like "HEY HEY HEY LISTEN HEY HEY LISTEN YOU'RE MEANT TO CARE ABOUT THE CHARACTERS RIGHT NOW" with its shitty music, and I'm like "fuck that I hate all of them except for Dr Cox, he seems like a cool guy, would share a beer or two with him, he knows what's going on" glad it ended if only it never started

So many things I knew wouldn't happen in that episode (because me and my mate had downloaded it specially to see it, we were up till 5am drinking and watching it, We were just devastated by the fact that we were watching the end...

But yeah like I was saying, plenty of things happened the way I knew it would.
JD didn't officially get that hug he was waiting for, but it was great to see Cox acknowledge him as the friend he is, The Janitor's name sceen didn't surprise me in a least, I was sitting there the entire time saying "He's gotta be lying, there's no way he'd actually tell the truth about himself that easily."

I thought it was amazing that throughout the episode it didn't feel like an end, it felt typically like an ordinary episode with a goodbye plot worked in, butwhen he finally strolled down that corridor it really sank in (Which me and my mate kept pausing to see who was there, we were shocked to see that Heather Graham wasn't involved in that sequence)

And as has been mentioned already, the family movie style foresight sequence was just fucking heart-warming, I was honestly moved, which to me is amazing, 8 seasons on and Scrubs is the only sitcom that warrants a reaction from me.
(my very first reaction was when JD and Elliot hooked up for the first time and I was like "IT SHOULD BE ME!!")

I'll never get to see anymore Elliot Reid... It's a sad time in Archemetis country...

Also, can I assume I wasn't the only one who thought "If they released The Book of Dr. Cox's Rants, I'd buy it."?

It wasn't a bad ending, but it wasn't above other not-bad endings either.

For it's hits, this show deserves at least somewhat of a cult following.

I didn't know the show was officially over. Last I heard, ABC wanted to bring it back for a ninth season.

That being said...I haven't been digging the show since it switched networks. I think they softened the character of the Janitor and made Ted less of a loser by giving them both girlfriends. These aren't characters who should be in a relationship. Plus getting JD back with Elliot...I was so over that relationship three seasons ago. So I tuned into the finale, but...meh. I didn't think it was great. Not horrible, just not great. It lacked the brilliance of the early seasons. Even if ABC brings it back for a ninth season, I don't think I'll be tuning in.

It's a Comedy/Drama. In otherwords, if you don't like the drama element, go watch Family Guy,

Ending spoilers, for those who want it:

JD, after deciding to move toward his son, got a job at another hospital so didn't have to travel as far. The end episode revolves around his last day at Sacred Heart, and the new things that are happening, such as Elliot moving in with him, his last patient and his exchange of the interns, to Dr Cox.

It basically ends with JD getting Sonny, an intern, to trick Dr Cox into telling her how much he cared about JD, whilst he listened from afar, and snagged his long forsaken hug from "Perry Ulesyes Cox".

He then imagines himself walking down the corridors of the hospital entrance, being wished good luck by cast, old and new members (Gift Shop Girl, TCW, the Old Lady, the female heart donor, the patient that broke his penis, Turk's old Chief of Surgury and many others). He then imagines the future, with him and Elliot getting married, Elliot and him having a child together and a future Christmas party.

He then walks outside the hospital, as his "Goodbye JD!" sign is taken down by and un-named janitor, who happens to be the show's creator, who simply says "Bye."

Not the worst show i`ve ever seen , a bit sad to see it end though it`s been running since i was a kid so it`s kinda the end of an era

He finally got that hug of Perry!

I thought it was a nice ending. Dare say I welled up a bit. I've been watching the series since it first started and I really liked it all the way. Fells like the end of an era in a cheesy overstated way.

The corridor part was brilliant, but the ending itself felt too simple somehow. Really loved the show back when everyone was an intern...
