I recently rewatched Sabrina the teenage witch... its good, but not the ballstastic awesome win that i remember as a kid.

Also, i watched Three friends and jerry.. that shit i sjust fucked up to the max (He wants to bang his cousin... hes 10). As i kid i liked it just because it was rude.
I saw that show on early in the morning on nicktoons and i was like ''WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CRAP!?'' Just four ten year olds who wanna see what girls keep in their skirts. But i guess it's only creepy when your old enough to recognise how wierd all of the wierd things these kids think of really are. And what was with all of the constant vomiting? They even had vomiting in the intro!

Power Rangers...I feel embarrassed. How could I like that? It's always the same:
Monster appears, Rangers fight.
Monster grows.
Rangers combine their zords. Monster explodes.
Victory pose.

Dragonball Z. It makes everything into a dick-measuring contest:
"My power-level is 5000!"
"Mine is 6400! HAHAHA!"
"Mine is over nine-THOOOOOOUUUSAAAAAAAAAAAND!"
"WHAT NINE-THOUSAND!?"

Right...
I can never watch that show again now without thinking about that :O you have ruined my childhood memories. haha

Many, many movies I loved as a kid I now realize are horrible. Eragon being an example...(I was 10, SHUT UP!)

Come on everyone, we ALL watched Power Rangers. Yes. Yes we did.
I'm watching the new episode that airs tomorrow.

I want to think that it will have to be more interesting than its Japanese counterpart, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, and I love the suits... but the catchphrases in the teasers are just too awkward, and I'm having a hard time unseeing the Japanese cast when I look at the suits.

Err... as for the show as it was in my childhood... well, I still find the first season and a half to be a good combination of aesthetically pleasing Japanese action and hilariously lame American humor. Need to rewatch season four, though, as that was my favorite.

EDIT: The second half of season 2 was pretty terrible, though. Season 3 was barely mediocre, despite that the show actually had a decent plot running at the time.

God I remember 3 friends and Jerry too. I liked it just because my parents didn't like it. I just finished watching the "Moose gang episode" and I couldn't enjoy it one bit. Your right it is fucked up.

X-Men Evolution was one of the shows that made my childhood. So when I saw a picture of it on the internet, I was like "whoooaa," I need to rewatch that.

So I did.

Holy crap is it terrible. How the hell could I love that as a kid? The entire time I watched the first few episodes I thought to myself, "this cannot be the right show", but I remember all of the shit that went down precisely. WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME?
I'm pretty sure I watched that show as an adult. Now you've got me wanting to give it a second go-through to see if I still enjoy it.

Spent my childhood in the 80's, and my teenage years in the 90's.
Nostalgia has done nothing BUT lie to me.
Nintendo, Transformers, Micheal Jackson, Karate Kid, Thunder Cats, cassette players, my god, my childhood sucked.

Watch it again, maybe? :p I'm pretty sure your nostalgia is lying to you.

But I am personally offended at how many people are saying Power Rangers. POWER RANGERS IS THE MOST AWESOME THING EVER PUT ON TELEVISION THAT IS NOT MYTHBUSTERS. GO DIE IN A TOAD'S MOUTH.

If some of you feel old reading this thread, I feel positively ancient. I'm 35 and to be honest a lot of the stuff you guys are mentioning as being really old/nostolgia fodder is well after my time.

That said, I feel the same way with a lot of the stuff I grew up with. "He-Man", "The Thundercats", "Goonies", "Starchaser: Legend Of Orin", etc.. just didn't age well. However I think that's the genius of creating good children's programming, kids just aren't into the same things adults are and view the world differantly, so they have to be catered to specifically in most cases.

Truthfully I'm kind of surprised (given the ages involved) that nobody has mentioned Barney. I mean I figure a lot of you grew up watching that obsessively.

Dragon Ball Z for sure, but even when I was a kid, I complained that it took forever for anything to happen, but in retrospect, I don't know how I was able to put up with having to wait three or four episodes for one guy to launch an attack that doesn't even work. Ugh...

Power Rangers, how on earth could I bare to watch that?

Dragon Ball Z,I rewatched it and still liked it after so many years.Even though you needed from 5-10 episodes for something good or amazing to happen.
