Poll: Now that the price drop/slim is official, do you want a PS3?

Hmm... if it goes down to £100 in the uk I might consider it, it wont have a blue ray player, and probably a lot of other stuff like ports/hard drive and stuff like that, I dunno though.
The thought of waking up on a Saturday morning, picking up the controller and playing online on my 42'' Plasma and soon to buy surround speakers WITHOUT MOVING OUT OF MY BED is kinda appealing, pc gaming is getting annoying. I heard from a Swedish news website it will cost around £80, doubt that though.
I've never actually tried the PS3 so I dont even know if I will like it, and games are pretty expensive, if it looks really cool its likely ill get it though, so, cheap and cool looking = High chance of purchase

Only if my current ps3 breaks again. And because of past experiences I'll give my current ps3 a month or two, three at best.
Well it appear it will cost double what I expected and looks damn ugly in my opinion, such a shame..

It does have a blue ray player which I find soo ***** annoying, if I want a bly ray player I buy a damn blu ray player GRHH.. theyre doing it because blu ray isent as big as they want it to be so they want to keep pushing it. Thats what I think anyway

I don't really know whats nice about the Slim..
But anyway I don't really think the PS3 gaming is for me. I find myself more attached to the Microsoft only games. (Gears of War 2 for example.) I'm not a big fan of PC gaming though, so you know, Xbox 360 for the win.

I have a PS3.
And I'd rather have my seven hundred bucks back. I can see the slim will move units going into Christmas which is the boost the PS3 needs. But what it really needs is more good games.

Not really, I still prefer it to play past generation games, the controller is far too small for my manly hands, while there are a few exclusives that interest me they are only that I particularly want and thats not really enough for me to dish out more money for another console and my final reason is that I have a dislike for the whole ps3 interface

I'm still on the fence about if I should buy now or not.
Mainly because I'm looking into importing the US release, because it's likely that the UK price will be £299, which still works out to around $499

in case you cant tell, i am a very big Sony fan(not fanboy, just a fan, theres a difference) and think that fanboys are short sighted little arses that are so held up in their little holes clenching ever so tightly to their Xboxs that they cant see how good the other consoles are, for example, the other day i heard some guy say that the PS3's graphics were complete bollocks and that PCs had better graphics than it, this guy was obviously one of the people i just explained a few lines ago
so YES, i AM contridicting myself right now and i am completely aware of it but im not going to change it because i stand by my point
but before anyone says something like, "your just like all the others, i bet youve never played an Xbox or anything else besides a Playstation" i must inform you that i have an Xbox 360 and i enjoy playing it, but i still say the PS3 is just as good if not better and is not given the proper respect it deserves

There has been price drops for the PS3. I don't know why people think that this the first price drop for the PS3 ever. And LittleBigPlanet would never be ported. They have a deal with Sony. But a PSP version is coming out, so if you don't buy that PS3...atomictoast said:

I already have one. I would buy the Slim but it doesn't have Backwards compatibility. I think I'll stick with my fat ugly behemoth.
