Poll: ODST: The Final Straw

Do we need ODST?
Shit, of course not. But does it look fun as a bunch a monkeys? Hell yes.
I of course will buy and play it when i get the chance, and I'll probably enjoy every minute of it. I'll play with my friends at college, and tell my friends here at home that Bungie is a corporate whore, and how dare they dilute halo with anything past the first one. blah blah blah.

But i do have one serious complaint. When did Bungie become so serious? and how did i miss it till now.?
I think it began half way through the third one. Cinematics started to feel like soap opera tid bits. An now with the trailer for ODST, you know, the one with all the men firing off rounds in memorium of some soldier, probably master chief, i don't really care, and they keep showing me this kids face, and he may cry.

Where is the gameplay? why are you showing me this scene? wheres the fun?

I swear I'm gonna play this one... but nothing past Halo Wars 2 expansion packs...

I think the new game will be a blast too. I agree about the seriousness. Do people really care about the plot anyways? I never understood it or bothered to even try. I just like shooting things with guns that shoot pretty colored bullets. Oh, and throwing plasma grenades every chance I get.

It just doesn't seem like the way to use shock troopers.

And what's odd about that? Deploying from the air is risky and that's why airborne infantry is mostly deployed by ground.

I will go out on a limb here and say that ODST will be the best Halo game since Combat Evolved, in terms of single player anyway since the multi-player is just Halo 3 with all the map packs. Firefight looks cool though, anyone know if we can play Firefight on all thee maps or only certain ones?

They made 4 games, it isn't much, they aren't cash cowing it, as you can see if your a Bungie fan, they put work, care and effort into there games, not every publisher does it, but of course a popular Xbox-only game gets the end of the stick.

Did you even beat Halo 3, and see the true ending? And, that trailer was fun...

Also, why do you need to tell your friends that Halo 3 sucks, like Bungie? They are one of the few developers that actually do shit with their community, something that people should be proud of.

Well to be fair they did a similar live action ad campaign for Halo 3 *not as badass tho also it was an odst's funeral since the ODST standard was beign folded*.
