Shit, E74 is bad shit, get it fixed IMEDIATLY, my friend got it and Microsoft said that it is a virus, it gets attached to your computer and wrecks it to. Sever the internet connection as soon as possible and send it in before real damage is done. This may be a overadzaduration but this is what i heard about E74.ScaredCougar said:My Xbox currently has one section of red on the ring(Bottom right corner) I was wondering has anyone had this problem and can you help me?
By the way the error code is E74
and turning it of and on does not work. It also started with a weird black little dots all over the screen.
That's why I keep my PC up to date...well for Mass Effect 2 and dragon age at least 8)TPiddy said:*snip* I wasn't about to jump ship with more Halo, Crackdown, Splinter Cell, Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2 all coming down the pipe. So, I just went ahead and grabbed an Elite.Marowit said:no worries. I know I was really happy with my 360 as well, but having 2 break down in less than a year (the first I had owned for a while, but the second I had just bought) and not being a 30hr+ a week console gamer just got me pissed. On top of that my girlfriends brother was having trouble with his 3rd or 4th as well, but I have a friend who's still sitting on his 360 from when they launched (I cant' remember when that was).TPiddy said:I've already said I had no problem with your personal experience. I never get offended by someone's opinion or retelling of their experiences. It's unfortunate that you had a bad experience with your 360 and you ended up switching to PS3, but there are way more people out there who are wholly satisfied with their 360 experience.Marowit said:I might be missing something, but isn't that exactly what I did? That is speak from a personal experience.TPiddy said:Not upset, but would prefer if you would speak to personal experience, opinion or facts next time you talk about any console, not just 360. I respect the people on this board as well as PS3 owners enough that I won't blatantly flame their console of choice.
Many of them, myself included, really hate that god-damned survey because it's a gross misrepresentation of what we feel is an overall positive experience, and is the equivalent of political mudslinging in the console war. "54%" is made up flame bait bullshit and I'd appreciate if everyone here would stop trying to pass it off as fact.
Though, I think the reason why a lot of people were passing it as fact - including myself - was mircosoft's response which basically boiled down to a shrug. But, that being said I know I was pissed when my PS2 broke down way back when (before Sony brought their console's reliability up to par)...So...yeah
*snip*
High five to us for not owning one. If get money though...rokkolpo said:none haha.
maybe because i don't have one.......still haha.
I'm not sure how you deduced that... it seems a reasonable post to me.TPiddy said:Obvious troll....Marowit said:gotta check the error code it gives you when you turn it on.
xbox's have a 54% failure rate, and it sounds like yours did exactly that.
I know when my 2nd 360 bit the dust I got a PS3 (now that they're 300). It was funny the Gamestop employee asked if I wanted the warranty the store offers, I said no. The employee chuckled and said that PS3's don't need them, but he would have really tried to get me to buy one if I was getting a 360.

I now can't help but feel that in the next few days one of us will experience 'issues' with the 360.miracleofsound said:Me too.Cgull said:Same here, my circle of friends all have the box of x as well and at last count only 2 of us have (so far) gotten away without suffering any issues.SeymourSan said:I am the only person that I know who is still on his origional 360.
