Racism always persists mainly because people are so worried about it. They got all upset over black villagers being killed by a white soldier. There were white cops being killed by a black gangster in San Andreas. Lets also not forget a white soldier was killing SPANISH villagers not one sequel ago in RE4 and we never got a mention of that. People need to stop being so butthurt and drop it and move on

I'm so sick of racism and sexism and all the other isms. There are people who are actually racist and use the word ****** with wild abandon and there are people (like me earlier in the sentence) who let slip the wrong word and are labeled as racist/sexist/whateverist by people who don't know the true meaning of insult. Those people who feel like calling me a racist: congratulations, you're fueling the hate.

Most of the time people are saying that stuff for shock value. The best way to deal with it is to simply ignore it.
The problem with saying that it's o.k when not serious is how do you know that it's not entirely serious? I find that most people tell racist jokes because they know that it's not acceptable to be racist but still are, and joking is the only way they can express it. Sexism tends to be more insidious, but it happens.

If you feel the need to turn to racism or sexism for jollies, you sir/madame are an extremely ignorant twat. You can be a total asshole in other forms without having to resort to something so low as those two categories. Honestly now, if you can't say what you want to say to the person's face?
