Wouldn't that likely produce inbred children, since your female clone is more closely related to you than your sister is? And your clone wouldn't necessarily have a personality or temperment comparable to yours, since he/she/it would only be genetically identical to you.
You know coming back to this, I think I would much rather befriend my opposite sex me. That way we can pull off the wild and zany things you could see in sitcoms.

I would mae one damn ugly woman. I'm 6"3 and bulky, there's something unerving about 'big' girls (I don't mean fat, I mean big).
Personality wise (theres no garuntee it would be remotely similar in a clone, as personality is shaped by experience more than genetics) it would be a failure. I'm agressive, dominant, hate being told what to do and lack motivation to actively pursue a relationship (meaning it wont work unless my partner is really keen).

I was discussing this with friends a few weeks ago. We came to the conclusion genetics are only half the story. How the clone is raised is the factor that makes it incest or not. If from birth you and your clone are raised as siblings, then yes it is obviously incest. On the other hand if your clone is raised by a different family and you happen to cross paths and hook up, technically it is only inbreeding. This goes down the nature / nurture argument. So it is possible growing up in different social situations could produce a clone nothing like you at all.
Then again if the question is asking "If you grew a clone in the basement right this second, for the purpose of dating / marrying / having sex with. Is that kosher?" Well I would have to say, technically yes, but it's creepy as hell to have to grow a mate. I'm fairly jaded and cynical but I have to believe there's other methods to achieve the same results.

my wife has so many of the same qualities and personality traits as I do that sometimes it seems like she's my clone.. but then I take a step back.... and realize that she's a infinite times more attractive then me, so I know she couldn't be.
